About this cabin rental
Private Western chalet amongst the pinions overlooking Torrey. Patios surround living room, bedroom, kitchenette and a 3/4 bathroom. Tucked away in a central location near the intersection of highway 12 and 24. Disc Golf Course on property (See Udisc.com and bring your own discs). **************************************************** If you choose to book, read the messages we send to you within the VRBO messaging system. App with notifications/textmessage enabled is recommended. *****************************************************Do not arrive before 3 PM without permission. *****************************************************No pets allowed, including ESA. Pet friendly lodging is available at The Rim Rock Inn. If you will be bringing a working service dog, please tell me. ****************************************************** IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ZOOM OR OTHER LIVE STREAMING VIDEO CALLS OR LIVE INTERNET WORK, DO NOT BOOK US (live meaning that buffering is inappropriate or unavailable). Our internet is good and works well for casual internet use and tv/music streaming (buffer will prevent pause), but it fluctuates and drops for about 3 seconds every few minutes, so your zoom meeting will drop. We can offer no promises of internet stability.

This cabin was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting Capitol Reef National Park and the northern part of the Grand Staircase - Escalante. The cabin was clean and the view out the back was beautiful! The king bed was very comfortable and we appreciated that the bed linens were fragrance-free.The area where the cabin is located felt very safe. The hosts live in a house nearby, and there were a few other nice houses in the vicinity. It was very quiet here except for the sound of the wind and the hummingbirds buzzing around the feeder. We appreciated the hiking guide books that we found in the cabin (we referenced them every day).We were here for a week in early May, the days were warm but the nights were cold; it was nice to open up the screened windows during the day for the breeze, and the wall heater (like the kind in a hotel room) heated up the cabin quickly in the morning; the bathroom was always cold but we found a small space heater that warmed it up quickly.Everything was in good, working order and so we never needed to contact the host. We would definitely stay here again.Three things to be aware of: The bedroom is up a full flight of stairs (everything else is on the main level). The shower stall is small. There is a frisbee golf course out the back, but we never saw anyone playing on it.

The cabin was very convenient for getting to Capital Reef. There were several nice places to sit outside. The upstairs bedroom / loft was light, comfortable and had nice views. The balcony off the bedroom provided a nice spot to sit outside. The kitchen was small and not ideal for cooking, but had everything we needed and worked well for simple meals. We would stay here again.
