Easy walking distance to the beach and close to shopping. The cottage is ... quaint. It reminds us of the old beach cottages, built maybe in the 50's?, and repaired over the years to stay comfortable. Although I wouldn't call it pampered luxury by any measure. And there are some minor quirks, like the low, soft-seated couch that's a little tough to get out of, the slippery tub (but with a unique, clamp-on grab handle) and bathroom sink handles that turn on the opposite way from what you're used to (no biggie). But it's a great beach place to hang out, especially for the price! We liked it.

We rented this cottage for a 6 day stay in Treasure Island. It is in a great location! 5 minute walk to the beach, grocery, shopping and restaurants nearby. It is a quick drive to Johns Pass and about 30 minutes from Clearwater Beach and Tampa.I did notice from another reviewer that the front bedroom was bright and it was. Our teenagers were in that room so it helped us by getting them out of bed before noon. Maybe some shades would help that but not a big deal.The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We did use it after a day of fishing and we also used the washer/dryer. That was a great perk when we got back from the beach to wash all our towels and suits. They had some beach chairs that we did take to the beach but they also rent chaise lounges, umbrellas & cabanas on the beach. The sun is hot so I recommend bringing cash to the beach for an umbrella. You can see an amazing sunset from the beach then head to dinner close by.Herman was very helpful before we arrived. He gave us all the information we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Overall had a great time, great cottage, good location, we hope to be able to stay again in the future.
