Retzow itself is a district of the town Lychen in the district Uckermark. The medieval town was destroyed in 1440 and was not rebuilt afterwards. Only at the beginning of the 18th century. Century, the Feldmark was re-populated. Lychen is a state-approved resort in the north of Brandenburg, situated in the middle of the natural park Uckermärkische Seen.
