LAKEFRONT HOME GETAWAY! LOOK NO FURTHER! This lake front cottage has over 1600 sq feet for you and your family to enjoy, with central air, two large decks and a grill! Outstanding sunrise! Just walk down our front steps onto a big yard perfect for outdoor games, a hammock or tents, and then onto the beach for swimming, beachglass hunting, or playing pirates. Charter fish or bring your boat or jet ski and use the launch located less than a mile away. You can also fish off the shore or take a short walk down to the dock. This beautiful lakefront property is located in an area of many attractions, Point Pelee National Park, local fairs, berry picking, antiquing, Vineyards, Go-Cart, Golf (& Miniature Golf). Bird watchers delight! Lots of birds and ducks, area famous for the migration of birds and Monarch butterflies. Car ferry service from Leamington and Kingsville to Pelee Island Winery. This cottage offers everything for a great getaway, including rafts, games and a gas BBQ on the deck overlooking the lake. This Cape Cod Cottage features a large open main floor layout with a great view of lake Erie. Floor plan includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and the entire first floor is open with spectacular lake view. Dining area has table & chairs to seat six people and kitchen has eating bar. Start every morning on the deck enjoying the lake view, or go right down to the beach to have your coffee or tea. Entertainment includes 1 TV and internet connection for your laptop and a vast array of things to do. Outings, shopping, activities on site or several golf courses close by. Shopping locally, or go to Windsor at the outlet mall. Sightseeing, hiking, wildlife viewing. Swimming, sailing, boating, jet skiing,water skiing, snorkeling/diving. You can also fish off the shore or take a short walk down to the pier. Kayaking, basketball, volleyball ,and tennis. Go karts, horseback riding. Pick your own blueberries or peaches or apples when in season. Movie Theater or dine out. Casino Windsor and see the shows in the evening. Colassantis flowers & tropical plants and visit their zoo. Visit Fort Malden a historic military museum in Amherstburg. Take a day trip to Detroit, Green Field Village, Ford Museum, Motown Historical Museum. Visit Pellee Island, local wineries or hike through Pelee National Park.

Accommodations were great. Downstairs toilet didn’t flush and needs repairs but host warned us of that upon arrival. Fairly comfortable beds except one twin right by the upstairs bedroom door needs update. Steps to the beach a little unsafe but at least something was there. Firepit awesome. Overall a super cottage. Thanks for everything.

The views from this cottage are so beautiful. The cottage itself is cozy, clean and well stocked. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and made great memories. Only minor issues we encountered here was that the wifi was quite slow, so if you were to watch anything on youtube or Netflix it kept lagging and freezing. Other than that, everything was great and we really had fun. Thank you to the great hosts.

We had a wonderful time at the Douglas Family property. The house was spacious and well stocked (from the kitchen to the games to the towels and seating available inside and out). The access to your own beach is outstanding and although the neighbors are all close, they were very friendly and welcoming. We had a rainy day, but it was so much fun doing puzzles and board games. Then we had a glorious weather day and went to Point Pelee in the morning, swam at our own beach all afternoon, and had a campfire in the evening. It was exactly what we were looking for over a long weekend. There are some nice upgrades with new windows, AC, and fans in every room. The beds were comfortable (even if some are classically squeaky cottage beds) and we had easy access to Wheatley for some last minute items. We really appreciated the separate drink fridge and plenty of space in the main fridge/freezer for our own food. Thank you! As our kids said in the guest book - we will be back! :)

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Point Pelee National Park, which is just a short drive away. The park is a must-see, with its beautiful trails and incredible bird-watching opportunities. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Honestly this was by far the best cottage vacation we have had. Everything was perfect the space the cleanliness the little extra things like having books and puzzles and games.
