Hotel to avoid at all costs. I am extremely disappointed by the room standing and the staff.

Absolutely nothing. This hotel must be avoided at all costs.

The room is very small less than 9 meter square with toilet inside the room without any separation. No air conditioning, no facilities. I contact the person in charge the hotel to mention I was disappointed by the hotel and the room but he immediately ended up the conversation. I was not able to get in touch with him during my stay in this hotel. This is not really an hotel but just a few rooms available in an old building.

I’ve had better camping facilities.

The location was perfect.

Not clean Bathroom facilities were horrible. You can’t shower in your room without flooding the whole room due to poor drainage. The spare bathroom out in the hall is filthy. The rooms don’t look like the pictures. Very tired and dirty. Bed is uncomfortable and bed linen is not great.

Terrible! Avoid avoid avoid!!!!

From the pictures the property looked lovely and upon arrival it seemed quite nice, situated in a kind of alleyway behind a main shopping street with plenty of restaurants and cafes, however on checking in we were told the security door had had the glass smashed and to be careful of it, it looked as though the property had been broken into as the security door glass was smashed next to the lock and could easily be opened now from outside, this was not part of the main Hôtel building but the building next door, so immediately I was concerned about security and already decided to leave my valuables in the car parked on the street a few hundred meters away, as we got to our second floor room up a narrow staircase it seemed quite clean, it was very basic, a room with a bed, tv on the wall small table and lamp, there was a small shower and toilet, we were happy with it on first impression and left our bags to go out for dinner and explore, we returned after midnight and I decided to have a shower before bed, I found the shower door was broken and would not close, it would swing open so I had to hold it shut and aim the shower so not to spray the floor, this was impossible and the floor was soaked and very slippery, I also noticed the wash hand basin was leaking too and the wooden unit it sat in was rotten, I found the toilet to be leaking from the waste also and a smell of urine was coming from the back of the toilet, as I pulled back the sheets to get into bed I found a number of brown stains in the sheets each around 5-8cm long along with a number of small holes what looked like cigarette burns, I put the sheets back on and had to use my own towels to put on the bed and sleep on top of those with no cover, I decided not to use the pillows too as I had now lost confidence with the cleanliness of the place, as it was well after midnight I decided to take this up with the manager in the morning. There was a sign that stated reception was closed at 23.30.

Following on from above: as we tried to check out the following morning there was no staff about, we waited for the girl serving breakfast to be free and left the key with her, we expected to her the issues we had with the property and asked to speak with the manager, the girl told me the manager was out for the day and gave me a phone number, I called but there was no answer and no option of leaving a voicemail, the only other option I had was to contact via this website, I left a message and sent pictures, when I eventually got a reply I was told it was my fault for not contacting him at the time, I replied with apart from being incredibly hard to make contact with your reception states it’s closed from 23.30, the manager continued to blame me and stated they could have rectified the issues at the time, although i don’t believe these issues could be rectified after midnight. I was offered a 20 euro payment and told to take it or leave it. I have never stayed in such an awful place with truly offensive customer service, I would advise everyone to steer clear from this property.

Pleasant host and fair value for money :)

The hotel is pretty well located in the center of the city. There's a park nearby and many small shops around, also supermarkets and a local market nearby. The host is super nice and offers help for all there is to know. Speaks French, English, German. The room offers a possibility to hang up clothes to dry. Wifi worked well.

The mattress is very soft and the room doesn't offer that much space.

Location.

Had to wait a while on arrival as no one was present to give me the key. Quite frustrating after a long journey. Bin not emptied, I had to take the rubbish out myself. Wi-Fi very poor.

strongly not recommended

we had two rooms for 4 adults. incredibly dingy and tiny rooms, shower falling to pieces, room freezing cold and tiny. The area smelled strongly of smoke. No curtains. When showering in the “box” the shower curtain stuck to me and the shower head didn’t fit onto a holder and helps to be held. it was cheap but the price did not justify the neglect.

The bed was quite comfortable. The room was a reasonable size for the price and the en-suite bathroom and toilet were separate. The location was good.

When I arrived there was no-one to check me in. After I finally got checked in I didn't see another staff member for the next 6 days, the front desk was always empty. The room was located under the stairs so it was loud when anyone went up or down. The adapter to hold the shower head was broken.

Value for money

Perfect location at edge of pedestrian area. Small but comfortable room (201) with closet and cabinet with drawers. Clean, hard floor (no carpet) and owner is very friendly. Parking is expensive (free parking on Sundays), but you can drop off your luggage and drive just outside the center and park for free, we had a space at 10min walk from the hotel.

Necessary, because of CoV-2 booking somewhere else was impossible

The room was ok until I was relocated to another one, supposedly I was given the wrong key by mistake. This room, in which the shower, toilet and sink were openly visible, was about the size of a prison cell (3x3 meters, measured by the count of 50x50cm tiles on the ceiling). Kudos putting a double bed in it, unbelievable. Breaking your neck stepping out of the shower is nearly impossible, cause the bed is right next to it. And it's not for nothing that there is a lid on the drain in the shower, but you will find that out for yourself when you remove it to let the water out. P-U. Trying to get some sleep is a challenge. People spoke loudly in the hallway next to the room, even after 10pm. Also there was a continuous beeping sound, along with the 50Hz hum that is here as well, apparently, thought that was just where I live. Good thing I brought my earplugs. There were no curtains on the patio doors, so the person on the balcony opposite the room could see you lying on the bed. Which could make playing with yourself a little awkward (or interesting if you're into that). The bed is always made, but not changed once in the nine days that I slept in it. I know this, because of the little speck on the sheet and ofcourse the smell after some time. Communication was really poor. The only person I could speak a little English with was almost never there. The person behind the counter didn't speak english at all, and he was also responsible for arranging breakfast which made it a pain whenever I wanted yogurt (as I saw I didn't get some while other guests did). The bread was so hard, you could break the plate it was served on with it. If you still decided to book a room here, and you get the key for room 104, turn around and run away. If you do decide to stay, check to see if the carton of milk is still there in the broken-drawer cabinet (second one from the top) and if so, that it hasn't exploded yet. I forgot to take it with me. Good luck.

The coffee was quite good. Just press the espresso button twice for a decent cuppa joe.
