Our home is right above yours on hill our family stayed in yours and it was very nice especially for location thank you very much worked out well

I’ll start with the positives- the views are great from the house & the location is nice and quiet. The property manager got back to me quickly when the code they gave us didn’t work for the garage door. The house is stocked nicely with fresh towels, dishes, toiletries. Etc. But after that this house needs to be renovated. There’s a slant in the floor on the kitchen and the deck doesn’t feel secure. The decor is dated and the king bed upstairs is hard as a rock. I know everyone has different preferences for firmness in mattresses but this was ridiculous. I know most mountain homes don’t have AC and it wasn’t listed on the listing but this house gets up to like 87 in the summer because of how it’s facing. So when you check in at 4pm it’s a sauna. One of the property managers did let me know that I should leave all the windows open at night and it drops to the 50’s. So we were able to cool it off but it would be nice to know this ahead of time. It felt like the propane stove was on but after we checked the thermostat several times and all of the switches we could find we guessed it was the pilot light giving off that much heat. The picture of the bedroom with all of the books is accurate but the books are all gynecology & midwifery books-not like I’m going to “dive into” a book like that on vacation or any time. The garage code is the only way into the house and you walk right into a car parked there “for storage”. The garage door sounds like it’s going to fall apart at any time & the code box cover falls off when you lift it up. My husband has an oversized pick up truck and we could barely fit in the driveway. Those pics are definitely not accurate. The basement isn’t finished and had a weird smell. I have never written a review like this for a VRBO since using several in the past 5 years but this house is in need of some loving care! When you’re paying to stay at a vacation getaway for the price we’re paying you expect something nicer than your grandmothers hand me downs. Less is more regarding decor & clutter.
