Polo beach club 609 was perfect for our family of four stay in the Wailea/Makena area of Maui. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed. The lanai is situated with a great ocean view and clear sounds of the waves crashing. The beach is a great gem; not overly crowded, soft sand, a small lava rock area to explore, and decent sized waves to enjoy. We would happily return to this rental for future vacations.

My best friend of almost 40 years and I decided to celebrate our 50th birthdays in Maui. I’m so glad we chose this condo as our base. Everything was so thoughtful. The design. The furnishings. The decor. The silverware. The king size bed. It is also probably one of the cleaner VRBOs I’ve stayed in. I loved the flooring—vinyl planks and tile, which help keep down the humid smells that often get trapped in carpets in humid locations. Both showers had good water pressure and quality shower heads with wand. The location could not be beat. The area is quiet and close to all the things we liked. We managed to get in multiple beach days and spa days at local resorts. The fridge is a Subzero, so it seals tightly and requires a lil’ muscle/strategy to open. The master bath rug needs a little refreshing/replacement. Finding the light switches can feel like a scavenger hunt. The washing machine is loud, but effective. The elevators are quick, but overly fragrant from the frequent cleanings. Parking garage spaces are tight, but everyone seemed to manage. Overall, I would stay again.

We spent a few days and loved the Polo Club! The location is awesome with the beach steps away, easy access to the boardwalk to other resorts/restaurants. The pool and hot tub are awesome too. Would highly recommend!

Most VRBOs were willing to budge on price, but this place wasn’t. Figured it must be a pretty nice place. We ended up booking here since it’s close to the beach. Lots of things that we were not happy with. The biggest thing was all of the roosters on the property. They start crowing at 3-4am. If you stay here, I recommend downloading a noise app so you can try to block them out, but they’re super loud since they’re right outside the windows. The listing advertises “breakfast included”. When I asked what that included, their response was “we have nearby restaurants”. We bought some eggs to cook breakfast, but they do not have any non-stick cooking spray. The fridge would barely open. It was so hard to open, it felt like you were gonna pull it over. The trash can won’t open unless you use your hand, and it stank pretty badly. The master bedroom/bathroom smelt like urine. The last thing that was a disappointment; I left my AirPods in the room and they’re still showing that they’re there through “find my AirPods”. I tried to reach out multiple times asking if they could please check and I would pay the shipping, and no response. I had to call the property management office, and they said they would check and get back with me. Not a word since. A couple positives: the place is pretty spacious, the beach was beautiful, and easily accessible. I would still recommend spending a little more and staying at one of the other nearby resorts. That’s what we’ll be doing next time.
