Independent lodging in a huge private park in Ribeauville

We loved this gîte. It’s private and quiet. The owners are on the property but we hardly saw them.They were helpful and friendly and welcomed us with a breakfast cake and bottle of wine (both local) and a variety of other beverages in fridge. The house was very clean! Loved being in a lush green setting while being a very short walk into the top end of Ribeauville and trail to castles. The kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils and sharpened knives. We rented linens from owners since we were coming from US. Mattress was comfy. Great stay!

Delightful wooden house attached to owners but completely separate. The downstairs is very compact but has everything and was charmingly decorated for Christmas. We loved the external window boxes with Christmas decorations and lights. Easy walk into the large beautifully decorated village. Comfy beds, kitchen with oven and warm and kindly owners. The owners rescued us from the village when our satnav gave us bad advice due to Christmas closing of roads. A few moments later we were in our toasty warm house, with a welcome package of sparkling wine, beautiful cake from the patisserie and chocolates. The owners showed us everything so we quickly settled in and headed off to the village to enjoy pottering round followed by hot chocolate with rum in one of the hotels. I cannot praise this holiday highly enough, we arrived stressed and tired , but quickly relaxed. The owners , available but not intrusive , are a delight, we hope to go back again.

Un accueil plus que parfait avec de nombreuses petites attentions et la reservation de notre premier resto du midi par la propriétaire nous laisse le temps de poser nos valises. Vraiment trop gentil.

If I could 10 star this sweet, private, comfortable cottage in the most charming town along the wine route in the Alsace region of France, I would. I am very picky and this was way beyond my hopes for a place to stay. I also appreciate beauty and Danieles decor added to the experience. You have to be there to see all of the little touches that she has put into every nook and cranny. And it is in the middle of what was called a Parc at the end of a long driveway so it is completely private and the views, the trees, the flowers...everything...are a delight to the eye and senses.Pascal and Daniele were the best hosts. I had a few concerns and they went out of their way to accommodate me right away. I wish I spoke french so I could had better conversations as they live next door and are very amazing people.It was so nice to have my car right outside the door after staying in apartments, and stairs and such at 6 other cities.And Ribeauville (Beautiful Village) was like out of a storybook and the views of the town from the windows were like moving postcards. It is convenient to everything, not too big or too small, and even has a castle view. There are at lease 6 other amazing small villages to visit within a 5 to 10 minute drive.This area was my favorite of a 5 week European adventure and this was my favorite rental by far. Perfect place to unwind, drinks some wine, eat some saurkraut and local specialties and photograph beauty. If it is available, dont let this one get by!
