Chalkstone Cottage

Very high quality level of refurbishment, close to where the family party was taking place … kitchen and living room were very spacious , we were left sone milk and biscuits by the cleaners/ managers . Coop supermarket in town was well stocked, ( just like at home )

Only one bathroom for 3 bedrooms is not enough , high price for two nights stay ( typical in UK, but not abroad) , overlooked on 4 sides by neighbours , only 2 parking spaces available and they were tightly packed in by the cottages behind , not used to such lack of parking in a town …. Double Bedrooms were small , maybe it should have been 2 bed & add a bath en suite ….But may be due to it being a former fishing village in past?

This is a beautiful cottage, excellent facilities, clean and lots of space. Everything was very comfortable and easy to use. It was an easy distance from Bempton Cliffs and other exertions. We loved it.

The cleanliness wasn’t to our standard, could be better. I don’t normally book properties where dogs are allowed, this was an exception. The cottage is lovely spoilt by the cleanliness. On the surface it looks clean however when we walked in it didn’t smell fresh. There was dust under the sofa’s, remnants of a dog treat on the bedroom floor. Dead flies on the windowsill in the twin room. The blinds in the bedrooms are stained Lots of dust on the mirror in the back double room. The blinds in the bathroom needed a clean A deeper clean would have made our stay perfect

Location is in a quaint area with pubs & facilities close to the cottage.

TV is old gen, with a loose HDMI Port / Very low furniture in back garden & the settee is too deep & tiered to be comfortable, without lots of cushions behind you.
