If you hike, the best place to go... It is basically at the beginning of the hike for mountain Vodno. A nice 1 hour hike to the top!

Our room was ready early and they helped us with booking a parking space for the car park.
We stayed for two nights and our experience was utterly disappointing. A foul odor greeted us as soon as we entered the apartment. The rooms were dusty and hadn't been cleaned. The sofa was stained and dirty, and a bed was supposed to be made for a third adult, but nothing had been done. We pulled the sheets from under the sofa ourselves, and they didn't even smell clean. The pillowcase was torn. When we asked for clean sheets, the staff was rude. We requested soap, but they didn't bring it. We shared the air conditioning remote. The glasses were dirty, not to mention stained. The room overlooked the building opposite, so there was no privacy. The space between the two buildings felt like a dump. Because there were no mosquito nets, we were constantly bitten by mosquitoes. The door handles were faulty, the bathroom drain was clogged, and the television didn't work. The room was generally dark and gloomy. There's no reception; it claims to be a boutique hotel, but the service is nil. Parking is an extra 10 Euros per day. They charge the room fee upfront before arrival and don't allow cancellation. If there was a pay-as-you-go option, no one would want to stay after seeing the rooms. Because they know this, they charge well in advance. This was by far the worst accommodation experience on our 11-night tour of 6 countries. We definitely do not recommend it.

Staying at Vanilla was a true pleasure. The space felt bright, airy and well maintained. It was clean, quiet, with a cozy vibe that made it easy to relax. The team was very attentive, the self-checkin was easy.

This boutique hotel provided a perfect base for our visit. The room was beautiful, clean, modern with cozy ambience. The attention to details was impressive with tasteful artwork. Staff members were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the feeling of being cared for in a smaller , personal setting.

Vanilla Boutique hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the cozy atmosphere. Our room was beautifully decorated with tasteful blend of modern styles. The bed was extra comfortable, and the entire space was spotless. Stevan and Viktor were attentive and friendly, always ready to help.

The whole point of a review is to give an unbiased opinion on your experience, so I will attempt to do that even though I did not stay at the hotel. I booked my room over a week in advance (and it would of been my third stay in this particular hotel). I specifically booked this location as it was 5 minutes walking distance from an event I needed to attend. I arrived at the hotel car park and immediately received a text message asking me if I would switch to a different hotel. I called the owner of the Vanilla Boutique (who was polite and apologetic) to find out what the problem was. He advised me they had an issue with one of the rooms and they needed me to move to their sister hotel in a different part of Skopje. The sister hotel was more expensive but they would of given it to me at the same rate and paid for my car parking - fair enough). Unfortunately for me this was terribly inconvenient because I needed to go back and forth from my hotel to the event every couple of hours. There would also be alcohol at the event I was attending so driving would not be an option. This would mean many taxis and inconvenience to myself and lost time. I explained to the owner that the location change was totally unsuitable for me. I ended up not taking their offer of the sister hotel and booked a room at the Limak hotel nearby (for four times the cost of the Vanilla Boutique). I want to be fair to the owners as they were polite and they tried to relocate me elsewhere, but, being as the only reason I booked this hotel was because of the location, this wasn't an option. I understand that from time to time unforeseen circumstances occur, but, I feel they could of offered to pay for my room at Hotel Limak or maybe relocated one of their other guests to the sister hotel so I could of been in the location I needed. It is very disappointing to book a hotel room and plan a stay and then to be told ten minutes before you check-in that all your plans need to change.

For the money I do not think you can get much better. I simply needed a clean and comfortable room for the night, and that was exactly what I got!
The shower did not have a holder on the wall so I had to hold the shower-head in my hand for the entire duration of the shower.

Freshly renovated since the last time I stayed. All new, considering the price, location and conditions, it is a great value for money option!

Splendid experience: easy self check-in which helps if you arrive with a night flight. The apartment is located in a very nice neighborhood in a walking distance from the city center. The bed is also super comfortable.

location
very very cold room( no. 6 ), not clean, no hairdryer, the heater for water was dirty with milk from previous guests, the cleaning lady was cleaning other rooms until 11 pm which was very noisy and uncomfortable, no hot water for bathroom

The location was very practical, the owner was very responsive and nice and we got extra towels and toilet paper when requested.
Unfortunately, the description is not quite correct cause this is more of an apartment house than a hotel. There is no reception or lounge area, and no regular room cleaning service (the room wasn’t cleaned during the week we stayed there). Some of the amenities listed on Booking.com weren’t available, such as an iron or kitchenware (only two cups and two glasses) and the free toiletries were soap & shower gel in a dispenser, unknown quality. There wasn’t any seating or dining area and the heating was an AC that had to run all the time (also during the night), since the temperature outside was below 10 degrees the whole week. The soundproofing wasn’t great, we could hear everything from the hallway, and the neighbouring bathroom.

Good size of appartment, and not far from the center a 10-15 minute walk
Need improvement as the cleaning was not often during our stay but overall for the price was a good price to value

The staff are amazing! We were early (9 am) than the usual check in here, but they let us in with no problem! The room is clean and cozy, hot water is in. An AC will heat you up to 30°C.
It's not a hotel - you have a room that you check into by yourself with no reception desk. The floor is cold, especially in the bathroom, so would be great to have a few guest slippers there. The property itself is located just right by the road with many parking lots there.

We had a great stay at Vanilla Boutique Hotel. The hotel is located in the central part of Skopje, on a quiet street so you will get a good night's sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Viktor was very responsive and was there for everything we needed. We had a self-check-in and check-out, which was pretty convenient since we checked in very late. The parking is 5euro per day, and there was always a free spot in front of the hotel. Overall, a positive experience.

The room was clean and comfortable. I had been sent codes to get in which worked OK. The owner deserves much credit for his helpful attitude. Because of taxi problems he even gave me a lift to the bus station the next morning!
The fact that is was a 'self-check in'. Problems with facilities and payments could not be solved easily as I arrived late at night and was departing early. However, the owner was easily contactable and answered all my queries,

I asked 2 times for invoice and had absolutely no response!!! Our driver was traveling for work and hotel was paid by corporate card.
