It is a nice property overall. Disappointed with the cleanliness of our condo and there was mold around the air conditioning vents, and it smelled like mildew when you walked in. These are things that can easily be taken care of with management. Beds were a bit uncomfortable (sagging in middle) and bed linens could be upgraded. This was a first-floor unit which is nice, however, if you have people above you that are not respectful of people below them, you get to hear a lot of heavy walking and kids jumping at all hours of the night. Other than those items, it is a nice home away from home with all the amenities and would recommend to others. We would probably stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at this condo in Galveston! The unit was very clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach—just a short walk away. The pool area was also a big hit, clean and relaxing. Check-in was super easy, and the communication with the owner, Bob, was excellent. He was friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free beach getaway!

The condo owners are simply lovely. They are kind, communicative, responsive, warm and welcoming. The Dawn property is fantastic. We have stayed here before, and we love the property itself and the location. That being said, we were highly disappointed in the condo itself and do not believe that the VRBO rating of 4.8 truly reflects the quality and standard of this particular condo unit. The condo is outdated and is in great need of major updates and repairs. We were highly disappointed to walk into a condo and view old worn out furnishings, walls that needed painting, old rugs, old and stained carpets, and dim, dark lighting. The DVD player didn't work, the DVD remote had its battery case taped on with Duct tape, the key pad entry to the front door would not allow us to change the 10 digit code to a more simple 4 or 6 digit code, and the front door kept sticking. The bedroom closets were sloppily filled with extra storage items, and the one bedroom closet even housed paint cans that caused the entire closet to smell like paint. The patio was poorly decorated. The patio furniture was unattractive and substandard. The table appeared to be a wooden slat TV tray, and the legs were old and rusted. The chairs were low budget in comfort and appearance. The bathroom baseboards needed painting, and so did the bathroom walls. We found a broken wine glass in the kitchen cupboard, and lamp in the bedroom with a burned out light bulb. The condo also had an old tattered ironing board with an iron that didn't work. The stove was old, and the oven was dirty. The air vents were also dirty. There was no Kleenex in the condo. We had to go and buy our own. The kitchen floor had holes in it. The linens were stained, old and unattractive. There was absolutely no drawer space in our bedroom. There were makeshift drawers from baskets. Our owners stated there was coffee in the refrigerator. There was no coffee in the refrigerator. We had to go and buy some. We have stayed at the Dawn Condominiums several times before, and our condos have always been beautifully decorated, modernly updated, and have had fresh new linens, great lighting, and attractive patio furniture. We always believed the price and the rating reflected the value. This time, we were greatly disappointed and did not believe that to be true. We paid a pretty price for a substandard low quality unit.
