This apartment is very quiet on a residential street and in the immediate field location of Honerdingen. Honerdingen is a district of the city Walsrode and is located in the district of Heidekreis in Lower Saxony, in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath. Hamburg and Bremen can be reached in good 50 and Hannover in about 30 minutes.
Walsrode, with its approximately 24,000 inhabitants, is well known by the world famous bird park. Furthermore, the city, due to its convenient location, directly on the A 27 and the junction A 7, as an interesting residential and business location in the triangle between Hannover, Hamburg and Bremen, very much appreciated.
Walsrode belongs to the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath. Nature reserves, recreational areas, vast forests, fields and meadows characterize the landscape, which receives its special charm from the heath river, the Böhme.
The flat hilly landscape and the diverse facilities give a high recreational value.
In the area there are many opportunities for active leisure activities, u. a. an indoor pool, outdoor pools, sports fields, gymnasiums, tennis courts, riding arenas, the groundless moor, the Walsroder monastery, the Eckernworth, the Meinerdinger church, the Hermann Löns grave, the Soltauer Therme and golf courses, recreational parks, such as the Weltvogelpark Walsrode, the world's largest bird park , Serengeti Park Hodenhagen, a safari resort with African animals, and an animal park and holiday resort with safari-style accommodation, free-roaming animals and roller coasters, Heide Park Resort, Northern Germany's largest amusement park or Magic Park Verden.
Directly in Walsrode there is a train station. Here every hour the train (Erixx Heidesprinter) to Hannover-Langenhagen to continue to Hanover or to Buchholz (Nordheide) to continue to Hamburg and Bremen.

Parking right out front, stunning property. Lots of windows, beautiful plants, plenty of seating. One, I think it would be helpful when it is known that travelers are from out of country, a heads up that there are no groceries or market open on Sundays (when they arrive on a Sunday). Also, there was 1 surfaced road and 1 gravel road into the property, however, you could tell the construction blocked the main paved road for quite some time. A heads up from the property providing a map to get into the property would have been greatly appreciated; the GPS did not even register the gravel roads as an option! We called and were simply told "Find another way"! I understand this is partially language barrier and may not have been intended as rude, but as stated before, a simple map or written directions would have been extremely helpful.
