Apollo's Villa - Peaceful Country Retreat - 12 Bedrooms - 10.5 Baths - Lake View

Property was beautiful and well kept. Only issue was alligator in lake. All had hoped they could swim, but did not due to our friend the alligator who toured the lake many times during day. Home was perfect for all 18 of us, and could have accommodated 4-6 more

We had a great stay at this property! The house is beautifully maintained and incredibly well-stocked with everything you might need for a family getaway. The kitchen had all the essentials, and we truly felt at home. We did have one small issue with an AC unit that caused a drip, but it was minor and didn’t impact our overall comfort too much. Our only major concern was the lake. There was an alligator in the water, which unfortunately prevented the kids from being able to swim. Being from TN, we did not expect alligators this far north and there was no signage indicating alligators might be present even though the host confirmed they’ve had them in the past. The only signage simply says “swim at your own risk”. The host was exceptionally responsive and immediately contacted wildlife resources to handle it. Unfortunately, wildlife services never showed up to remove the gator. The alligator was quite habituated and aggressively chased our fishing lures and the fish we caught—it even came up onto the bank chasing a fish at one point! Despite the gator keeping the kids out of the lake, we still enjoyed our time at the house and appreciated the host’s quick communication. We do think it’s important that other guests are aware of the possibility. We fortunately spotted the gator before the kids jumped in the water.

We will come back here every year for the rest of our lives. Its as simple as that.

Apollo's Villa - Peaceful Country Retreat was exactly as described in the listing. The owner/host provided everything we could possibly require and more. This was by far the most accommodating property I’ve rented. The house was exquisite just as described, perfect location, plenty of amenities and was more beautiful and comfortable than expected. The house is exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked. Finally a VRBO that lives up to expectations and beyond. By far the nicest of any we stayed in before. Stylish beyond belief. Great location, great seating areas inside and outside. The kitchen is a cook's dream, fantastic appliances, and top of the line utensils, pots and pans-more than enough to satisfy any cook. It has every possible kitchen tool/utensil/pot/pan etc.… you could ask for. It made eating in an absolute breeze. It was amazing, huge, and easy to find items because of the exceptional and thought out labeling of cabinets and drawers. We were so impressed and happy with this property. We loved our stay! We had 17 people on this trip and had plenty of room to hang out and bond. The houses were so well thought out, extremely comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. There is so much space, we never felt crowded! The game room, theater room and bar was the icing on the cake. There were so many places for everyone to enjoy quiet and group conversations in a comfortable and relaxing setting. Hiedi is a fantastic host. She was very accommodating, helpful, friendly, kind, prompt and helped us with every aspect of our reservation and stay. We had an amazing time at Apollo's Villa - Peaceful Country and definitely plan on making this an annual vacation spot.
