The beach cottage

Beautiful location. Couldn't be any closer to the beach. Local shops pub etc just a walk away.

We found the fridge a struggle to close.

Amazing Georgian property located right on the beach in Sandgate with a private beach entrance. The house is immaculately presented and feels like being welcomed into somebody's home. The beds are extremely comfy, and there are two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with tub. Your eyes are drawn to all of the little details, antique furniture, plants a-plenty, pictures and paintings, books, and games. We were very lucky with the weather, but had it been chilly or raining, sitting in either of the lounges in front of a fire with a book would have been equally exquisite. A true gem 💎

Parking may be an issue, that said we were able to park both cars within a short walking distance and for free ... in August! Bit of a step down to the beach, the little portable kitchen steps were great, if you are fit and mobile. There is also the possibility to walk around the reach the beach step-free.

Het huis was groot en comfortabel. En schoon. Met een fantastische tuin/terras met uitzicht op en geluid van de zee.

Weinig ramen die open konden vonden we beetje jammer. 1 slaapkamer kon helemaal niets open.

Eine tolle Lage mit schöner Aussicht aufs Meer vom Wohnzimmer! Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und könnten Terrasse viel nutzen, die direkt am Strand liegt!Das war wunderschön!!

Es ist alles ein bisschen verwahrlost...Griller durchgerostet, Liegestütze rosten und schimmeln. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist in die Jahre gekommen und im Haus steht einfach sehr viel herum...das muss man mögen! Uns hat es trotzdem sehr gut gefallen...Wir mussten uns aber auch nicht viel im Haus aufhalten!
