About this house rental
The Poppy House, so named for it's golden bricks and bright red roof, has all the convenience, comfort and character you could wish for in a vacation home. The house is located in downtown Kanab, walking distance from restaurants and shops and several local trail heads for hiking. Recently remodeled, the house is equipped with all new paint, flooring, appliances and furnishings.
Upstairs, at ground level, the house has two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and one with a queen-sized bed, as well as a full-sized bathroom with a tub and shower. The living room has a large flat screen television with Fire TV. The clean, spacious kitchen has been newly outfitted with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal, including high-quality pots, pans and knives, both a Keurig and drip coffee maker and tableware for 12 people. The eat-in kitchen has a table that can expand to seat 6.
The downstairs bedroom includes a king-sized bed plus a daybed/trundle with two twin mattresses, and a sitting area with a TV. The large downstairs bathroom is complete with a shower and jacuzzi tub for soaking after a long hike.
All beds have high quality mattresses, linens and pillows for your home away comfort. Bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap. You'll find everything you need for your morning coffee or tea in the kitchen.
One of the biggest perks of staying at the Poppy House is the large, completely fenced in, grassy backyard. It is suitable for pets, kids, volleyball and other outdoor activities. There is a large, shaded patio with a BBQ and outdoor seating for 4. There is a hot tub on the patio for guest use, and there is even a 'cattery' should you have a cat sleepover from Best Friends during your stay!
The house is equipped with wi-fi and a high speed internet connection, central heat and A/C, a full size washer and dryer,stocked with laundry soap, and ample parking for an RV or trailer.
There is a workstation available if you are working remotely while staying at The Poppy House.

The location of this property was perfect for all of the events that we did over our long weekend. It was a great place for the family to stay together and enjoy our time together. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after a long day of adventures.

Great location — walk to everything! Excellent amenities — plenty of kitchen toys to use. Really appreciate having full access to garbage bags, dishwasher tabs, tp, etc. also loved that there were Kleenex boxes!!Great stay — highly recommend.

Our three generation family truly enjoyed the Poppy House. The lower level was great for our younger members with a tv and comfy beds. The upstairs gave us some privacy and the kitchen table was perfect for all our meals and board games.This was a great place to build family memories!

My husband and I, along with our two dogs, stayed at the Poppy House for 4 nights in February. I looked at other properties when choosing the best location, and my main reason for choosing the Poppy House was the large backyard for our dogs. And it was a great choice. The backyard is VERY large, and my dogs loved playing outside. There is also an outside cattery if you are traveling with your feline friend, which is very nice. The house is obviously dog friendly as the couches had very nice removable dog covers. The house is on a nice street, close to downtown. You can walk everywhere if you want. The electronic keypad on the door made for easy check-in and entry throughout or stay.We only used the upstairs as it was just the two of us, but I peaked downstairs, and the downstairs bedroom is huge.The house had all the amenities you will need to make large meals. There is a propane BBQ in the back yard. Ginger sent a detailed list of all appliances and utensils in the kitchen prior to our arrival, which was great so that I didn't bring things that were already provided. The internet is very good, and I was able to easily work each morning. Kanab is a great town, and we spent the entire week hiking. If you can make the drive, visit the White Pocket. It is hands down the most interesting place I have ever been. I will return, and I will stay at the Poppy House again. I definitely recommend!
