House was and atmosphere awesome. Tons of space as whole house surround sound came in handy for xmas

Nice place to relax and have a great time with the family , a lot of upgrades around the house .

This is a big house. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, good size kitchen, plenty of space for everyone. The decks face the ravine, and have a nice view. Unfortunately, they are not very wide or covered well enough to allow sitting outside when it is raining. The TV/entertainment system is a bit complicated (all internet based content - Apple TV, chromecast, Amazon Prime, etc), but once you figure out which of the four remotes does what, there is lots of content to watch (so long as you don't want to watch live network TV). The house has a big laundry room, and all the supplies to wash your clothes while you are there. In fact, the house is well supplied with consumables - paper, trash bags, basic food and coffee, etc. It was a bit overstuffed with food in the fridge and freezer (not sure if the owner's food or left by previous renters). House rules require shoes be removed at the door. There are no trash cans for this house - we were told to use the neighbors cans, which seemed a bit invasive to me. These are two examples of details that need to be covered in the amenities section and house rules sections of the listing. As it stands, the house listing does not give all the details needed about the house. For example, the grill is a tiny propane grill, just big enough to grill burgers for 6 people. If you have a crowd, and lots of food to grill, you will be disappointed. The house is a bit long in the tooth, and could use some tender loving care and minor fixes. Some of the blinds don't draw up or let down easily. Some of the toilet paper holders are falling off the wall. There are no lights in the main living room except a blinding overhead light. Area pole lamps would be a great addition. There is a bit too much baby stuff crowding the rooms. Two cribs and two high chairs are mostly just in the way (unless of course you have two babies with you - we did not). To summarize, the property worked for us, and was roomy and in a good location. It was annoying at times due to the items mentioned above. But overall, a solid four stars.

We will return, the owners were very accommodating.
