The space
Welcome to Wildflower Shanty! This cabin was built with full logs and feels so quaint and cozy. The location is also hard to beat! It's very close to Pigeon Forge's parkway with many shops, restaurants, and attractions about a mile from the cabin. It is also perfect for accessing Dollywood, Gatlinburg, waterfalls, hiking trails, and more! Yet the woodsy surroundings lend a private feeling to the cabin. With Wildflower Shanty, you get the best of both worlds! It also very easy to navigate to Wildflower Shanty. No need to worry about dark, windy roads at night.
Wildflower Shanty gives you three levels and 1,250 square feet of living space. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the cabin, and works well for a group of friends, two couples, or small families. The master bedroom is a loft and features a king bed and private full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is located on the lower level and features a queen bed and private bathroom with stand-up shower. There is also a half bathroom located off the kitchen on the main level.
All linens, including sheets and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked and also features a Keurig coffee machine. There is also a small charcoal grill off the front porch (note that charcoal is not provided by host).
Parking is available for two vehicles. The driveway is a bit steep, as with most cabins in the area. However, a 4x4 vehicle is only needed (or recommended) during winter months.
Pigeon Forge and the surrounding area has a lot to offer and there is something for everyone! This cabin is conveniently located close to many different attractions.

Other things to note
For check-in, we'll give you an entry code for the cabin and you can arrive anytime after 4pm and check yourself in. Check out time is 11am.
**In general, we require a two-night minimum stay on the weekends. However, please do message us, because we do sometimes make exceptions based on our reservation calendar. We also do not accommodate check in or check out on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Other holidays, such as New Year's, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day will incur an additional $50 fee per check in or check out day. Payment will be requested after booking and the calendar is left open so stays can be booked over the holidays, so please keep this in mind.**
**Also, please note that during fall and winter months, it is advised that you will need a 4x4 vehicle to access the cabin. Snow, ice, and other types severe weather may impact your trip. You are encouraged to purchase vacation insurance during these months to avoid any losses or inconveniences. We will notify you as soon as we can if there are safety concerns around accessing the cabin due to severe weather conditions. Additionally, the fireplace is only available for use from October 15th to March 15th..**

Cabin was great, super clean and a lot bigger than expected. The location was great distance wise but the driveway is a lot more steep than we expected.

I liked how much quietness we had and privacy being so close to town. This was very convenient to town. It could have maybe some updates like worn carpet or appliances but that is often typical of rental property. This property was cleaner than some. Hot tub was new.

Overall our party of 5 adults had a good stay.
The location is nice, just off the main road in Pigeon Forge, but still has a secluded feel, since the cabin is surrounded by trees and is on a road with very light traffic. Our main itinerary was visiting the national park, which can be easily and quickly accessed via the Gatlinburg by-pass, just a short drive from the cabin.
The cabin has very comfortable beds, two good sized decks and a large porch. The rocking chairs and porch swing make for a relaxing sit on either deck. The jacuzzi was perfectly situated on the lower deck and was ready to use upon arrival.
Each of the 3 floors is somewhat open concept, which worked well for us. One bedroom is a loft, which is open to the living room below. The living room has a wide doorway opening to the kitchen. The second bedroom is half open to the game room. There is a full bathroom off each bedroom space and a half bath off the kitchen.
Basic kitchen supplies are provided. Items you may need that were not present for our stay: coffee filters (although there was also a Keurig with several pods), extra blankets and pillows (particularly if you’re using the sleeper sofa), wine glasses (there was only one). Some of the provided kitchen items and game items were very well warn and some need to be replaced.
Parking may be a bit challenging, depending on your vehicle(s) and how much cargo you need to load/unload. The shared driveway is quite steep. Depending on size, there is just enough room for two cars. (We had a large SUV and a compact car.) Parking is at an angle, so use of your car’s emergency brake is a necessity. Because of the parking angle, backing up to the back porch makes for easier cargo loading/unloading, but situating your vehicle in order to back it up may be a challenge. (There was no one parked at the cabin next door, which made backing into our parking space easier.)
