Enjoy the luxury of a end unit townhouse at Delaware's only 5 star resort, located on the Bay, with water views. Located approx. 8 miles from Rehoboth. The Peninsula has won numerous awards, and is described as simply spectacular. The townhouse boasts brand new stainless steel appliances, quality new furniture and gorgeous views.
The facility offers something for everyone. Golfers will enjoy the Nicklaus designed course that nestles along the shores of the bay. Families love the wave pool, outdoor adult pool, hot tub, indoor pool, work-out facilities, and entertainment center for children. There are numerous nature trails for walking, and tranquil paths for biking. Take a walk to the fishing pier to catch the big one! Try your hand at crabbing!
The community is gated with 24hr security. The homeowners at the Peninsula take extreme pride in the beauty of the land and buildings. The landscaping is breathtaking and the facilities kept in pristine condition. The staff is friendly and attentive to the needs of the guests.
This townhouse is a short walk to the Lakeside Village (large wavepool with beach, Infinity outdoor pool, state of the art indoor pool, work-out/cardio facilities, locker room facilities, children's activities center, tennis courts, basketball courts). The Peninsula community offers miles of nature trails, biking trails, fishing pier, bay beach. The Peninsula is especially well suited for families. This bayside, gated community is a short drive from Rehoboth, Dewey and Ocean City. The Peninsula is located on the Bay. Townhouse is in walking distance to bayside beach.
This resort is ideal for families that want to enjoy the beauty and fun of the beach, but without the hassle and worries. There is something for everyone in the family. The golf course has been described as the 'Pebble Beach of the East'. There is fishing and crabbing available, miles of nature trails, jogging and biking trails, gym, 24 hour guard house, restaurant, tennis courts, golf course, indoor heated pool, activity center, outdoor heated infinity pool and a wave pool that is truly remarkable.
We think that the Peninsula is an especially perfect place for families with children, as they will never run out of activities, you will not hear, 'mom I'm bored'. The outlets are a short drive (about 6 miles). We are close to Assateque Island, Ocean City, Rehoboth and Dewey beach. There are multiple restaurants within several miles (and a great one on premise), upscale shopping a grocery stores are a stone's throw away.
The Peninsula is located on over 800 acres of land surrounded by the Indian River Bay (inlet of Delaware Bay) and Lingo Creek. A large portion of adjacent land has been placed in the Sussex County Land Trust, this area is preserved as woodlands and marshlands, wildlife thrives in this protected environment.

While this property is a bit further from the beach than we’re used to with other VRBO stays, we didn’t miss it one bit. The home was spotlessly clean—a detail we appreciated immensely, especially since we arrived late in the evening. In the past, we’ve had issues with cleanliness at other rentals, so walking into such a well-kept home was a wonderful relief.The property was well situated and met all of our needs. The community amenities were top-notch, from the pools to the recreation facilities, making it easy to enjoy our vacation without leaving the neighborhood. Our teens absolutely raved about their time here, and we all agreed we can’t wait to return.Next time, we’ll be bringing our golf clubs to take advantage of the fantastic on-site course. Highly recommend this property for families of all ages looking for comfort, convenience, and plenty of activities! See you next year!

Deena was a pleasure to have as a host and took care of any questions or issues we had. The location is amazing, right off the 10th hole of a beautiful golf course right alone a stream. We enjoyed watching golfers throughout our week as well as the fun surprise of the bald eagle who made multiple appearances. It was a short walk to the amenities which is where we found ourselves all week. An adult only pool, wave pool, kid friendly pool, and a splash pad were all a hit with the kiddos. Don’t forget to try your luck on the water obstacle course!! It was a short 30 minute drive to rehoboth but everything we needed was honestly at the peninsula that we only got to the beach two days of our trip. Three different grocery stores within a 10 minute drive was very convenient. House was well maintained and plenty of room for two families with three kids. Enjoyed the use of the grill and updated kitchen as well as just lounging around in the living room. Be sure to give this spot a try, Deena will make sure you enjoy your stay!
