Charming house (1806) with terrace / garden in the heart of a picturesque harbor

We enjoyed 2 very pleasant weeks in Michels lovely cottage. The area of Brittany is surrounded by places to visit within 30 minutes drive and Auray is a lovely area with the house conveniently situated by the picturesque harbour of St.Goustain with many restaurants and bars within walking distance.The property has 2 bathrooms which we found very convenient as we travelled as 2 couples with 2 dogs. The kitchen is very well- equipped and the dining area is nice.The only things which would have improved the stay would have been wi-fi , a garden and air-conditioning as it was very hot when we were there ( the temperature was over 30C most days!). Michel lives just by the property and was a very amenable and charming host who was able to speak to us in English which was very helpful.

We are two retired couples that booked this property for a week in October 2015 via the HomeAway website. After arranging our arrival time (two hours ahead of the stated 16:00hr check-in time - my error, sorry about that!) we were met by Michel who provided an overview of the premises. As part of our greeting the refrigerator had a bottle local cider chilling and two generous containers of homemade jam in the kitchen. The house was as depicted on the Internet and much more roomy and comfortable than one would expect from a short term rental property. The house was well equipped, stocked and quite nicely decorated, including fresh flowers. We felt very much at home within a few minutes of our arrival. The house is very well located in the heart of the Port of St Goustan, in Auray. A short walk brings you to all the shopping and eating outlets that Auray has to offer. There is much information in the house about things to do and see in the area. Michel has put together a very informative booklet that we found particularly useful. In our discussions with him, he also provided some useful ideas of local things to do and see. We had a great visit to the Gulf of Moribihan area and our weeks stay at Michel's rental contributed greatly. No hesitation in giving this a 10 out of 10 rating. Logement spacieux et bien conçu. À deux pas de toutes commodités. Michel nous a fourni toutes les infos nécessaires à un séjour agréable.

2 chambres bien indépendantes . Chambre du bas , bois de lits abîmés ( très bruyant ) Pas de ventilation direct sur l’extérieur.

Bien située , proche du golf du Morbihan Maison à conseiller Propriétaires très sympathiques

Magnifique petit port et très bon point de départ pour rayonner dans la région. La maison est très agréable, elle est spacieuse, très bien rénovée, super accueil du propriétaire. Pas de parking mais il est très facile de trouver de la place à proximité. De superbes vacances !

Top dans l'ensemble. la cour est trop petite à cause de la végétation pour vraiment en profiter si le temps le permet. heureusement il a beaucoup plu. la situation est vraiment extra, il vaut mieux, je pense ,éviter les mois de grosse fréquentation. Bonne continuation à Michel

Logement très bien situé au vieux port, calme (période hivernale et COVID...), dommage cheminée seulement décorative et véranda non utilisable l'hiver quand il fait froid. Mais nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Michel.

een mooie gezellige, volledig ingerichte woning in een pittoresk straatje in Auray, een heel charmant stadje. Wij hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad en de omgeving goed kunnen ontdekken.

Saint Goustan est un adorable village et un point de départ idéal pour les balades aux alentours. La maison est très bien située, au cœur du village tout en étant dans une rue calme. Merci à notre hôte pour ses bons conseils, son accueil et ses attentions.

Maison trés bien située ; au calme tout en etant à proximité du joli port d’Auray. Maison très bien equipée et accueil trés sympathique avec toutes les explications necessaires et documentation pour visiter les environs.

Pas de déception à l'arrivée : maison ancienne conforme à la description et décorée avec goût. La maison est située dans une rue calme tout en étant proche du centre ville que l'on peut rejoindre facilement à pied. ALe propriétaire est très sympatique et accueillant. Un pur bonheur .

Très bien placé à Saint Goustan , port d'Auray ...lieu que nous avons apprécié car le cadre est beau , agréable et la maison proche de tout , . Propriétaire accueillant . Maison confortable ..mon seul regret le fait que la cheminée à gaz ne fonctionne pas

La location était à l'image de la description dans l'annonce. Très bon accueil du propriétaire, petites attentions , gentillesse, pressbook sur les idée de visite à disposition, bref les vacances commençaient bien. Propreté, agencement de la maison, le +, la possibilité de loué le linge de maison, on se croyait vite chez soit. Petit port de Saint Goustan, une carte postale vivante ,très bons restaurant pour lesquels ne pas oublier de réserver en saison et dont les restaurateur réservent un bon accueil, un bon choix à prix corrects. Auray, ville où tout y est. Lieu de vacances et location que je ne divulguerai pas à tout le monde de façon a être sûr de pouvoir y retourner. (Trop tard...) Pour les visites, carrefour pour visiter le golf du Morbihan, la Presqu'ile de Rhuys, les terres et la région de Quiberon.

We have just spent a wonderful week staying at this house in St Goustan. The Owner Michel gave us a warm welcome and spoke good English. He gave us lots of tips on places to visit and there was printed information with further details in a file. The house was clean, homely, well equipped and very well situated. It was lovely to visit local beaches, Towns and Villages, and return back to St Goustan and Auray in the evenings for very good local bars and restaurants. We would not hesitate to visit here again and will recommend to friends

+ Altes verwinkeltes Haus mit viel Charme. Alles was zum täglichen Leben benötigt wird ist vorhanden. + Schöne Lage mitten im alten Dorfkern; nur wenige Meter zur Uferpromenade; ruhig gelegen + Sehr freundlicher Vermieter; stets bereit zu helfen (Danke für die leckere Marmelade und den Cidre !!!) + alle benötigten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten recht nah (mit Auto zu großen Supermärkten, Tankstelle, Geldautomat/Bank) + einige gute Restaurants in wenigen Gehminuten Entfernung + Parkplatz in akzeptabler Nähe zum Haus (ohne Sichtkontakt) + W-LAN kostenfrei + viel Sehenswertes in der Nähe (Vannes, Quiberon; etc.) - Urlaub ging zu schnell zu Ende !!! Ich kann das Quartier nur bestens empfehlen !

Das Haus (Bj. 1806) liegt im idyllischen Hafenviertel St. Goustean in zweiter Reihe in unmittelbarer Nähe des Fraklin-Kays. Wir haben uns hier wohl- und erwünscht gefühlt. Die saubere Wohnung verfügt über eine umfassende und recht aufmerksame Ausstattung, die unseren Ansprüchen voll genügte. Sie spiegelt die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des Vermieters wieder. Handtücher wurden 2 x wöchentlich, die Bettwäsche einmal wöchentlich getauscht. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig und modern. Wir haben sehr gut in den Betten geschlafen, wenn uns auch die Qualität der Matratzen auf den ersten Eindruck als gewöhnungsbedürftig erschien. Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen Gasse, die parallel zum Hafenufer verläuft. In den Nachbarhäusern befinden sich Galerien, Antiquitätenhändler, Creperien und Wohnungen. Es ist angenehm ruhig dort. Trittschall oder störende Geräusche aus der angrenzenden Wohnungen haben wir nicht wahrgenommen. Warmes Wasser war zu jeder Tageszeit und in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Auch das Wetter dieser Fewo lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Fast ausschließlich Sonne ;-) In 1-2 min erreicht man fußläufig die Bars und Restaurants am Hafen, in 5 bis 10 Minuten ist man im Zentrum. Hier kann man sich mit allen Dingen des täglichen Lebens eindecken. Der nächste Supermarkt ist 5 Autominuten entfernt. Wenn wir die Sonne genießen wollten, sind wir oftmals zum Strand nach St. Pierre bei Locmariaquer gefahren (ca 20 min. mit dem Auto). Hier findet man einen sehr schönen breiten nicht bewirtschafteten Sandstrand, den auch die Einheimischen als Badeort wählen. Bei Ebbe kann man reichlich Meeresbewohner beobachten. Besonders schöne Erlebnisse für uns waren der Besuch des Tierparks in Branféré, die Menhire in Carnac und Umgebung, der Wochenmarkt in Auray und ein Besuch in Vannes. Was gibt es nicht? Es gibt kein WLAN, keine direkte Parkmöglichkeit am Haus (der nächste kostenfreie Parkplatz ist aber nur 100 m entfernt) und keine Mücken :-). Wir haben nichts davon vermisst. Ganz im Gegenteil. Es war ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub. Wie schön er war, lässt sich daran erkennen, dass wir nicht einmal wissen, ob der Fernseher funktioniert. Weder wir noch die Kinder haben diesen während unseres Urlaubs auch nur einmal angeschaltet. Wir können das Haus mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Vielen Dank Michel für den angenehmen Aufenthalt.
