Villa Deshaies

A very nice lady from the agency met us at the property to hand in the keys and show us the property. She was very nice and had a lot of nice tips about the location and the beaches around. We loved the swimming pool and the house, although very simple and with little luxury was surprisingly pleasant to stay in. It's a little creole house so you don't live inside, we loved the terrace that was nicely sheltered from the tropical rain, it was pleasant to sit there in the evening after the meal and to enjoy breakfast outdoor with the birds and the small geckos. The bedrooms have aircon which felt very good on those warm / humid nights.

Maybe the standard was lower than anticipated from the price we paid, but if you are not bothered with lack of comfort then go for it. The beds and bathroom were cleaned and comfortable but the kitchen / cooking area was a little small and lacking of space. Quite a lot of mosquitoes present, maybe providing anti-mosquitoes candles would be nice.

La maison et sa disposition, sa végétation et sa piscine, ses trois chambres, et l’endroit calme. Nous apprécié la disponibilité de l’hôte et sa réactivité face à un soucis de climatiseur réglé rapidement.
