GRONERS Leipzig City Center

Great location, nothing better for the price in central Leipzig. Recommend own room as opposed to dorm. Good for young people.

I have stayed here 4 times when I have been in Leipzig. It’s cozy, close to Hauptbanhof, nice staff, comfortable beds, awesome kitchen and ”hang out” area. Good wifi.

Nothing

Groners is a rather plush hostel in the centre of Leipzig, about 10 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Staff were good at check in and the ensuite dorm rooms were excellent, with seating area, lockers and large windows out onto the street. The kitchen and lounge areas were excellent and there is a small terrace on the roof which is a great place to chill out. There is a laundry in the basement which is 8 euros for a wash and dry.

The only downside to the hostel is that your bed sheets are not included in the price, which is just weird as it’s compulsory to have them, so you get charged an extra 3.50 when you check in. Be some much simpler and honest to include it in the price at the time of booking. That said, I’d definitely stay here again!

Noisy neighbours, late early morning/night arrivals
