About this bed and breakfast

This one-bedroom, adults-only apartment has a queen-size bed; dining room; kitchenette; on-suite bathroom with claw-foot tub and rain shower; and basic cable/streaming TV and WiFi.

Property is not childproof so no one under 21 allowed but well-behaved pets (additional $10 per night) are welcome and must be disclosed at time of booking. Only one pet allowed per stay. Furniture will be covered and pets must be curbed somewhere other than backyard. Barkers/howlers may be asked to leave.

We ask that shoes be removed by guests as nearly the entire space is carpeted. Property is a convenient walk to most historic sites, festivals, restaurants, Lehigh University, cultural attractions and casino.

Historic Bethlehem is the first industrial settlement in America. Founded by Moravian missionaries, it still boasts the original housing, chapel, inn, apothecary, tannery, waterworks, flax mill, brewery and college. Today, a vibrant Main Street, the SteelStacks, ArtsQuest, Casino and Banana Factory all provide diverse entertainment and are within walking distance of the Cinnamon Door. We are also home to Musikfest (the largest free music festival in the nation), Celtic Fest and many other cultural events. Nearby colleges include Lehigh and Moravian and St. Luke's Hospital is within 3 miles.

The rental was in the perfect location for walking (though a little cold for that) or driving to any of the sites or establishments we wanted to visit. Would love to return, but not sure that will be possible at this listing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property that was exactly as advertised. The hosts were friendly and great in every way and very thoughtful and did everything to make sure we had a wonderful stay. It’s a short walk to the main street in downtown Bethlehem and conveniently located to many other places, including great restaurants. It was a great home away from home.

This rental was a real mix of good and bad, but ultimately if someone were to ask if I would recommend it, the answer is sadly a NO. First the good: - Cozy, clean, and easy to get into and out of. The street is busy but there was always parking within a block. Noise level was minimal despite being a busy street. - Convenient walking distance to the entire Northern Historic District, and a quick drive to everything on the south side (we were in town for an event at Wind Creek) - Everything was labeled (with an old house there are fewer switches & plugs so it wasn't always clear what was what) - Safe and secure. Now for the rest: - The bed is really uncomfortable. This is our third trip this year and I travel a decent amount for work, and this is by far the least comfortable bed we’ve encountered. - The RULES. We are very much rule-followers and are fine with guidelines ... but when there is a manual with page after page of double-sided rules & restrictions - you end up spending your visit ensuring you don't step out of line. - Usage of the patio - while there were pictures of the patio in the featured photos, we never stepped foot until taking care of our trash & recycling at the end of our stay. Why? Because one of the rules states that guests must put in a request to use the patio - and even then only if not in use by the owners. We got up in the morning and were drinking coffee, but one of the owners was outside so we just stayed on the couch.
