About this bed and breakfast
A bit more about Liberty Street, one of the oldest streets in Asheville. Only nine homes populate this neighborhood passage - an assortment of simple bungalows, Queen Annes, Victorian Farmhouses, and fine Arts & Crafts homes, all surrounded by ancient white oaks, spruce and sycamore. Ironically, one of the oldest streets in Asheville is nestled close to the freshest entrepreneurial hives in the city. Two blocks away is the Asheville Yoga Center, Pulp & Sprout (a natural food cafe) and Liberty House Coffee & Cafe, all run by energetic and passionate people who love their neighborhood. One block west is the fabulous Plant Restaurant. Three blocks north on Charlotte Street sits Taco Temple, Jettie Rae's Oyster House, Bone & Broth, City Bakery, The Chop Shop Butcher, and Metro Wines. It's a 12-minute walk downtown, verified many times while going to concerts or street festivals, shopping, or to our favorite cocktail spot, Sovereign Remedies. For groceries, you'll find our major regional grocery chain Harris Teeter, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods...all just a few blocks away.
