The place was perfect for our group! Large enough space for 14 people & a great lawn for yard games. The swimming spot within walking distance was amazing. Would definitely return.

My friends and I were in town for a music festival. The host Pam and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked our stay, they were in communication with us, providing us info about Olive Hill, and answering questions. The house is very big and it was perfect for the 5 of us.

Lots of room. Interesting decor. Kids loved playing in the creek behind the house. 30 minutes from Carter Caves. Very clean. High winds took out the electric during our stay. Host offered a generator, but with babies, we decided we should leave. We would stay again.

The listing was generally accurate regarding the size of the home and number of rooms, and we knew we were booking an older, vintage property, which we were completely comfortable with. However, we feel the listing photos could be updated to better reflect the current interior.The home comfortably accommodated our group of nearly 20 for a family reunion, and the owner was wonderful to work with. Communication was excellent, and we appreciated being informed in advance that some sleeping areas did not have doors or were open to common spaces, which helped us plan for family members of different ages and mobility needs.Our biggest concern was the amount of antiques, collectibles, glassware, dolls, and decorative items throughout the home. Nearly every available surface was filled, leaving very little space for guests’ personal belongings. It also made the home feel cluttered and less suitable for families with young children due to the number of fragile items.Despite the large collection, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean the home was. Those who enjoy antiques and vintage décor will likely appreciate its unique character. For larger family groups, however, we believe reducing some of the decorative items would make the space feel more open, functional, and comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would likely choose different accommodations in the future based on our group’s needs.
