Within the old Historic District, it is a home respectfully restored, adding the grace and love it once had, plus heating, air and plumbing it never had. It is on a block of families and young home owners. The interior is all hardwood floors. Full kitchen: refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster. The property was spotless. The property owner answered any and all questions in a timely manner. It was a 15 minute walk to downtown Wilmington.

Great place for my husband and I to work from home with our dogs. So close to the river walk! I loved the proximity to downtown and the river. Second time staying in this house. A true gem!

Had a wonderful stay at the Collins Chestnut House. It was the perfect location for what we needed. We chose this location based on proximity, comfort of furniture in the Living Room, pet friendly with fenced in back yard, and the kitchen. Regarding these, all was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are fantastic, clean and modern even though the house dates back to 1910!
The only thing that was a bit unnerving are the front and back door locks - they only lock or unlock from the inside WITH the key. We are always concerned about Fire Safety, and in the event of needing to get out quickly, this could hinder an exit and is a major fire hazard.
Otherwise, the house has a lot of charm and it was nice to settle into this place for a few days while visiting family for the Holidays. Thank you!
