Exceptional Hotel - strongly recommend

Utterly exceptional hotel. All Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but very comfortable, luxurious and beautifully designed with real attention to detail. Little touches such as fizzy drinks, beer in fridge, fruit and chocolate, are a wonderful addition. Excellent central location. Beautiful open outside bar area which was somehow still incredibly cosy and warm even in December.

I liked everything about the hotel. Have seen some people complain about the way the hotel is laid out and that the stairs are narrow but honestly, you’re on holiday, do those things really truly matter?!

Lovely

In an old house surrounded by trees close to the historical Bruges. The room was warm and cozy , the bed like a cocoon.

Chasing for plugs for computers and telephones. In our particular room, the bed was a king size, making the space around it tight. May be a queen size would have been better Also it is not necessarily very friendly for older people as the staircases are steep but the staff very helpful with the luggage.

Nice and comfortable.

Very good location. The room we had facing the park, the view is great. Bed is comfortable. Once get accustomed to the way the breakfast was served, the experience of the breakfast was also great. The washroom is clean. Overall convenience of the shower room might not be as perfect as those in the modern buildings, but it has its own charms.

A fantastic hotel which exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

Location of the hotel was ideal for us. Within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Also had car parking and could leave the car there for a few hours after checking out. The restaurant and lounge area was lovely, with patio heaters and log burners. Very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. An extensive choice but a bit expensive, however the glass of champagne helped.

The room was a bit dark but this is to be expected with older buildings. We couldn't get the coffee machine to work properly, some instructions would have been good. Some breakfast teabags would also have been good.

Room was tiny - couldn't even open the suitcase anywhere. Bed was a bit uncomfortable and small. there was a long black hair on the bed when we arrive to the room. No room service. no late check-in. extra payment than expected. Poor value for money for us.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at 't Fraeyhuis. This boutique hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of a charming medieval town, surrounded by picturesque streets and historic architecture. The atmosphere is truly special—quiet, peaceful, and full of character. The hotel itself is a perfect mix of old-world charm and modern comfort. The rooms are newly renovated in a stylish, contemporary design, yet the common areas, including the stunning courtyard garden and cozy bar, reflect a lovely medieval-inspired aesthetic. It’s the best of both worlds. Our room was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable with high-quality box spring mattresses, and despite the central location, it was completely quiet at night. The hotel is tucked into a delightful neighborhood, making it the perfect base for exploring the city on foot. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and luxurious stay in beautiful surroundings.

The desk receptionist was extremely pleasant and went beyond the norm to assist us st every turn

Lacked a sitting area other than outside. Only one couch in the entryway vestibule. Space at reception was very limited and tight.

Excellent relaxing and friendly hotel

The hotel was exceptional. Tucked away location and general ambience felt really relaxing. Lovely room. Friendly and helpful staff. Some nice small touches that make a difference - messages in advance, info sheet with local recommendations, good toiletries and dressing gowns, coffee machine and chocolates in the room and a free glass of champagne in the really lovely bar.

An excellent hotel, friendly, great location, excellent food.

This is a really great boutique hotel; the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the breakfasts and dinner were exceptional. The location was perfect, close to the main sights, but in quiet and green surroundings, and with car parking.

The electronic controls for the lighting and heating/cooling in the room were a bit complicated to understand at first. Also the smoking area was right outside our ground floor window, so we often had someone standing or sitting immediately outside. (However, these small issues did not spoil our stay which was extremely enjoyable.)

Beautiful Boutique hotel

Exquisite little boutique hotel, really nice rooms, lovely staff members, breakfast was excellent and yeah just a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very clean, bed is very comfortable. We loved the location as it was quiet and away from the main square but only a 10min walk to get there. Bed was massive, I am 6'4 and my feet didn't hang off the edge. Absolutely loved staying there.

Excellent for an overnight stay or longer when travelling through Europe. The hotel is situated in the old part of Bruge. Have stayed at the hotel twice now and will always do so in future. Would highly recommend it.

2 nights in Brugge

Easy to get to in the car. Very comfy bedroom, great bar and restaurant area. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. We had a loverly couple of nights here, would definitely book again.
