About this house rental
The renovated Ranch House is perfect as the gathering place for a romantic retreat, or home base while watching wildlife and exploring the Elkhorns. It is part of a 900 acre working cattle ranch that borders National Forest. We are about 25 minutes outside of Helena, Montana, so we are close to town, but secluded in the mountains. There is access to hiking and biking trails minutes away.
The house has 2 bedrooms with double beds and a fold out sofa bed. It has a fully functioning kitchen and a smaller bathroom. There is also a covered porch to take in the mountain views and a fire pit to enjoy the stars of the Big Sky during the evening. Often during the summer, a herd of elk grazes in the hay field right out the back door.
This 100 year old home has been updated and added to slowly throughout the years and has a lot of history to tell. It is great for people with a sense of adventure and don't mind the classics. Although the house is very clean, some wear and tear from being lived and worked in are inevitable. Come and enjoy real Montana ranch living in a mountain oasis.
The ranch house is also the perfect halfway point for travelers visiting Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks looking to keep an authentic Montana feel.

This was probably my best VRBO experience yet. House was older but clean, served our needs perfectly. The grounds were amazing. This place was truly good for the soul. Well maintained, open and spacious in one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever stayed in!! I may return specifically to this area just to stay here again. This was definitely 10/10!!

This property is such a gem! The atmosphere was so relaxing and the home was spotless. The fenced yard was great for my dogs to run. Absolutely recommend

The bungalow is located on cattle ranch in middle of Elkhorn mtns. Peaceful, excellent scenery, walking trail thru pasture outside door. Close to helena. Enjoyed my week as did my dog, thoroughly.
