This bright and airy Ocracoke Island beach home offers a pleasant walk to Springer's Point Nature Preserve, the Ocracoke Lighthouse, and Silver Lake Harbor. Tucked away on a quiet one way street, the Mary Fisher is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Above the treetops, you can feel the breezes as they blow through the many windows and across the comfortably furnished screened in porch and deck.
3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths: 2 with Queen, 1 with two Twins. One bath with tub/shower, one with large soaking tub and a separate shower.
Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, cable TV and DVD player. Washer and dryer.
The exterior offers a screened porch, large deck and charcoal grill. Covered parking.

No Smoking. No Pets Allowed. Parking is limited to 4 vehicles. No Phone.

Overall we enjoyed our stay…but! The only major con for us was the furniture was so uncomfortable and the ceiling fan on the porch didn’t work. The mattresses were thin and springy to where your back hurt so bad by the end of the week. All the guests staying here were under 30 and we all were complaining of back pain by night 4. There wasn’t any relief on the couches either. The house is super spacious, felt clean (other than spider friends everywhere but it’s the beach), and kitchen was very well stocked! Love the house but unsure if we’d book here again because of the furniture situation.

I stayed in Mary Fisher for 6 weeks and found a real home away from home with all the comforts I needed (apart from the TV which I south of The Ark!). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with everything I needed to cook dinners for one and dinners for 6. The screened porch was lovely and cool, catching the breeze in the afternoon - a delightful place to sit and watch the world go by. The location of the house is ideal - easy biking distance to the village and walking distance of my favourite place on Ocracoke - Springers Point. The house is very light and airy with ceiling fans to supplement the a/c when it's really hot. Always a cool oasis to come home to! Thank you for being my home away from home on an island that I love ❤️
