About this house rental

A beautifully presented, ground-floor property located just yards from the town centre, but in a very peaceful location, tucked away from the passing traffic. It is comfortably furnished and very well equipped offering the added benefit of sloped access, extra-wide doorways and no threshold step to the front door and the benefit of a wet room, this bungalow would suit those with walking difficulties and wheelchair users. Situated in a lane behind St Peter's Church, the seafront gardens, shops and railway are all within easy, level reach.Ground floor: Front door opening into: open plan living/dining and kitchen. Lounge: with comfortable sofas, TV/DVD player and dining table and four chairs. Kitchen: with electric cooker, under counter larder fridge, counter top freezer, air fryer, washing machine/tumble dryer and microwave. Hallway to: Double bedroom: with double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and door leading to small rear courtyard garden. Single bedroom: with single bed with an additional stowaway bed underneath, bedside cabinet and small wardrobe . Family wet room/shower room: with walk in shower, WC and wash basin (please note there are no grab rails beside WC).
Please note: Outside: small patio with access via double bedroom. Bed linen and towels provided. Wifi available. This property has an additional £20.00 per week applied to it to cover the rising utility charges. Parking. We have been going to Sheringham, on the North Norfolk Coast line. This is a wonderful place to stay, it’s close to shops, restaurants, Bars etc. it’s ideal for people with any kind of mobility issues, the bathroom is actually a wet room which is wonderful for us as there’s no bath to get into and there’s a “perching” stool which is in the bedroom closet

This accommodation is in a great position, close to both the shops and near the beach, having its own parking is a great benefit in Sheringham. It was very clean and tidy with good fresh bedding and towels. We found it had a new washer/dryer which was great as the weather for drying was not good. It is easy access to the property with wide access to the rooms for anyone with a disability and the shower and bathroom was again suitable for anyone with a disability.

The Old Bakehouse was very comfortable though the excellent settee had feather cushions which caused me some wheeziness until they were shut in the small wardrobe. The kitchen was very well equipped with even a shopping bag in a drawer. A bath mat would have been useful and something to put clothes on whilst showering. A new mop for mopping up the shower is needed. The outside line, tropical garden and outside seating was appreciated and the landlords attention to the lush planting! A lovely property.

We have been coming up to Sheringham on a regular basis ever since we came across this lovely Seaside Town. It is a lovely place to visit and has plenty of restaurants, our favourite of which is Marmalades Bistro. Excellent food at reasonable prices. The Chef as well as all the wait staff are amazing and are knowledgeable about the foods that are available on their Menu.

Lovely place to stay, close to the town centre and easy access to the beach. Enough towels and bed linen supplied. We have stayed in this property previously and would highly recommend anyone to stay in it. Kitchen was well stocked with all that we would want for our weeks stay. The mop in the bathroom, needed replacing - not very hygienic. Also the provision of a bath mat in the shower room, very hard to get the floor dry after our showers, even with trying to use the squeezy mop provided.

We enjoyed our break in sheringham . It was a very clean , well equipped , cosy bungalow in an excellent central location. I would recommend this place . The only minor problem we had was the sound on television kept going first thing in the morning but was easily sorted by switching it off and back on at the mains otherwise it was perfect .

We, that’s my Husband and I have been coming up to Sheringham for quite a number of years. We used to stay in B & B’s but then decided it would be better if we stayed in Holiday Let’s. We tried a few properties which weren’t too bad. However ever since our First Holiday in The Old Bake House we have returned to the same property EVRY TIME we have been on Holiday in Sheringham. It’s great for us, as it’s got everything that we want from a Holiday “Home”. The owner is very nice and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We are already looking forward to our next Holiday which is in a couple of weeks time. I’m disabled and T.O.B.H. has had some work done to make the Bungalow Disabled Friendly. It even has a Wet Room, which is great as I cannot get in/out of a Bath. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On quite a number of occasions we have had wonderful Holidays in The Old Bake House. (T.O.B.H) Although the name suggests that the accommodation is a House, it is in fact a 2 bedroom Bungalow. The bathroom is actually a wetroom, which is great for me, as I’m disabled. I can’t get in or out of a Bath. Although T.O.B.H is situated right in the centre of Sheringham, it is very a quiet location. But is near Shops, Restaurants and a short walk to the beach. The Old Bake House, has everything that is needed for a Family/group of n four people. There is parking on site, which can accommodate 2 Small cars or there might be space for a Large + a smaller cars. The owner is friendly and helpful, if we have any problems with anything in The O, B, H. he comes to do everything he can to correct / fix the issue. There is an enclosed Courtyard, with table and chairs, which can either be accessed from the double bedroom or via the front door, and through the wrought iron gate. We have spent many hours relaxing in the sun with a glass of wine or Champagne. We have spent many Holidays Aboard, which has guaranteed sunshine, all you can eat and drink. But now we prefer to have our Holidays in England , for a quieter way of life. We are already looking forward to our next holiday at T.O.B.H. It’s become our home from home.

Ideally suited for any one with mobility problems with the benefit of a wet room. We always use this property when visiting Sheringham due to its location and facilities. it is also close to several excellent eating establishments as well as the theatre which are all within walking distance.

We have just got back home from yet another wonderful holiday spent at The Old Bake House, in Sheringham, North Norfolk. Because this is a Bungalow it is really suitable for anyone who is wheelchair bound. It even has a wet room, so there’s no problem trying to get into a Shower Cubicle. It has 2 bedrooms, one of these bedrooms has French Doors opening onto a lovely hard landscaped garden. We have spent quite a few occasions sitting outside in the Sunshine. There’s also parking at the property too, which is really good. We are already looking forward to our next holiday at The Old Bake House.

We have really been impressed with The Old Bake House (TOBH) ever since our first holiday staying there. It’s got just about every thing that up to 4 people could possibly want/need for a great holiday in Sheringham. We have never been disappointed about any aspect of our stay in TOBH. It sleeps 4 people, and has a single bed, that converts into double bed in the smaller of the two Bedrooms. The patio which can be accessed either through the larger bedroom, or via the front door and opening the full height wrought iron gate. We’ve spent quite a few happy hours sitting outside in the patio soaking up the sunshine.

(T.O.B.H) It’s located within the centre of Sheringham down a “Lane” off of Church Street, and is situated behind the Church that is sited on the corner of The Boulevard and Church Street. We are already very much looking forward to our next Holiday staying at T.O.B.H. in Sheringham. And plan to have many more holidays staying at T.O.B.H.

A well kept and functional bungalow in the town with everything close and available. Well Done ! The sofa was unfortunately too big for my wife who, when she sat on it her feet didn't touch the floor. That was the only fault and not the end of the world. We found the bungalow clean, functional, and with everything that we needed. A flat walk to the shops which helped us immensely. Location was 100% for us. We would stay again. It was a shame the sofa was different to one on picture.i had a bad back .now worse...the shower ,fantastic..but same about the smell from washing machine problem we didnt know about..And the owner turned up ,unusual...the courtyard is ok but need full sun..needs moss treatment to..be careful kitchen floor has loose tiles..shame about the sofa .would stop me from returning...

Nice property, however we felt the comfort was compromised by some items of furniture. The settee was in two sections which occasionally separated owing to poor connecting brackets. The dining chairs were extremely heavy and not particularly comfortable due to their design. We also feel that a small coffee table would be a great advantage in the lounge. It is a shame that the aforementioned detracts from the exceptional property and its location.

Bathroom completely wet after showering which caused a serious safety hazard as floor was so slippery. The mop can't remove the amount of water standing, a floor squeegee would be better. Also the shower head needs replacing. Otherwise everything good & location excellent

The bungalow is lovely, well situated and has good parking. But, there are two improvements which if made would make it better. There is no direct lighting above the dining table and this makes it very dark. More light in the lounge would make for easier reading. The other critical item is the shower head in the otherwise lovely wet room. As the spray is very hard and very wide angled this causes the whole wet room to flood. It means mopping the floor every time after a shower for safety's sake. If the floor is not mopped people will slip and fall.

The cottage was lovely, warm & welcoming when we arrived in very cold weather. It is situated in a quiet lane but within easy walking distance of shops & beach. With it all being on one level I found it perfect, as I have limited mobility re stairs. All in all it was perfect and we really enjoyed our time there.
