We had a pleasant stay, nice welcome and easy check-in. Supplied were things to get you started, kitchen and toilet paper, some oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Whilst not needed (we bring our own things) this will be helpful for others. Plenty gas for the stove and new gas bottle for the BBQ outside. Everything was working well. The outside deck (not towards the pool) will be replaced, we heard, and that is needed indeed. For us two this didn't matter as we used the grass area with tables and plenty seating there.The listing clearly shows the remote location, yet still easily accessible by car, which is exactly what we wanted. Quiet horses nearby. Surroundings, apart from nature sounds (birds), very quiet. Occasionally the gardener was present at nearby sheds, friendly and unobtrusive, but he will be doing gardening work, of course, but did inquire to time it with any absence during the day. Much appreciated. We had other people visit/stay at the neighboring house but didn't hear a thing. Yet, one is not entirely alone with respect to the surroundings, should that matter. We can also recommend this house (09-2025), just like the previous reviewers.

Beautiful house and pool in a wonderful quiet location. House was very clean and well equipped, weather was hot while we stayed but fans supplied to keep everyone cool while sleeping. Communication was excellent with owner and housekeeper. Really enjoyed our stay here.

This home was perfect for our family. The host welcomed us warmly with a fire in the beautiful and spacious first floor. The kitchen was well equipped. The host was readily available if we had questions. The house offered a very comfortable winter stay and would certainly be a lovely place in a warmer season.

House was spacious, clean and well maintained. Outdoor space including pool, table tennis and orchard were all beautiful. Village Boulangerie only 3km away and 10min drive to local supermarket so this was perfect for us - we felt truly in the countryside but had easy access to the town and good transport links to nearby attractions such as chateaus and Futuroscope (theme park). A lovely area to explore!

We stayed for 2 weeks at the start of June, and couldn't have asked for a better base to explore the area. The house is beautiful, and finished to a high standard. The gardens and grounds are lovely, and perfect to explore of an evening. The pool was an added bonus. The wider area is well placed to explore the Loire Valley, the Gite is less than an hour from Tours, Poitiers and Loches; as well as various chateau and other tourist destinations. The local town has supermarkets etc. only 10 minutes away. Benedicte was a kind and generous host, and checked in by text a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. We'd definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The house was really comfortable. Plenty of space and we’ll equipped. Great Wi-Fi and everything worked well. The pool was excellent. The vegetable garden provided lovely tomatoes and courgettes. The grounds were lovely. Sitting beside a lake and a wood. The owner was very helpful throughout. Really enjoyable holiday.

Three generations of our family gathered. We had a lovely time relaxing and exploring the area. The gite is well equipped and lots of thoughtful touches were there from toilet paper and kitchen towel to ping pong table and dvds and games for adults and children alike. Highly recommended

Fantastic cottage for families

We had a fantastic week at the cottage along with our 10 year old boys. Lots of space inside and outside, awesome swimming pool and weather. We enjoyed visiting nearby towns, ancient fortresses, markets, forests, and went further afield to Poitiers and the wildlife park. We’d highly recommend the cottage to others especially families. One of our favourite activities was picking fresh tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini and parsley from the garden next to the pool. Thankyou Benedicte for a wonderful stay!!

We had a lovely week at this villa in Aug 2019. The house was beautiful, the surroundings lovely, and Benedicte and her family were extremely helpful and communication was easy both before and during our stay. Our only disappointment was that we thought the pool was heated as it was listed on the English version of home and away as being so and we had also read a recent review (2018) that said the same. However, the pool is not heated! And for little children (ours are 1 and 6) it was really too cold (12-16 degrees) which was a shame as we really wanted to spend more time in the pool. But all other facilities were as expected and the kids had great fun in the garden and on the trampoline. We would definitely recommend this gite just with the understanding about the pool!

A tranquil haven

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the gite. The house is in a lovely setting - near enough to the town for essential provisions but remote enough so you feel like you are in your own hidden corner of the countryside. Benedicte was very helpful and friendly and we were given eggs and fresh courgettes from the farm :) Inside, the house is furnished very comfortably with the downstairs being particularly cool and inviting. The bedrooms all have lovely countryside views and enough space for everyone. It got rather hot at night but that's to be expected! Outside, we made very good use of the pool and the ping pong table and ate most of our meals on the covered veranda. We enjoyed the peace and quiet so much that we hardly ventured out at all until the end of the holiday. For a trip out, Futuroscope was quite a lot of fun but the highlight was the evening meal in La Cristal restaurant there - truly spectacular and completely unexpected in a theme park.... I would certainly recommend the gite to anyone looking to relax in the beautiful French countryside - we managed to keep two twelve year olds happy almost entirely without leaving the vicinity so that should say it all!!

Gîte des Petites Minaudiéres is very picturesque, and offered the comfort, peace and privacy that our family wanted for a lovely week together. The house is roomy and well appointed, the pool is a good size and well maintained. The gardens are a pleasure to relax in. The owners are kind and helpful, making our stay a great experience.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au gîte du Domaine des Petites Minaudières. Les informations fournies avant notre arrivée et l'accueil de Christelle nous ont permis de profiter de la maison pleine de charme, située au calme au milieu de la nature. Merci pour les cadeaux et pour l'accès au potager qui nous a permis de profiter des excellents légumes cultivés par le jardinier.

Séjour en fin d'hiver : le gîte nous attendait tout chaud, le feu dans la cheminée... L'accueil est absolument parfait. Le site est top : les bâtiments sont très beaux, la forêt juste à côté invite à la promenade. Tous les commerces sont à 10min en voiture, c'est très pratique. À savoir : les propriétaires vivent sur place, il y a donc d'autres (petits) enfants parfois présents. Un seul regret pour ma part : la proximité de la route. C'est pratique, mais rompt parfois le calme sylvestre. Je recommande néanmoins chaudement ce gîte.

Dès l'étape de réservation et jusqu'à la fin du séjour, Bénédicte s'est toujours montrée tres aimable et réactive pour répondre à mes questions ou demandes. Nous avons été très bien accueillis avec de tres gentilles attentions. Toute la semaine nous avons profité des oeufs des poules et des legumes du potager. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cette superbe propriété dans la région de La Vienne. La maison est très bien équipée. Nous avions même accès à des légumes frais du potager. Il nous a été facile de contacter les propriétaires. Ceux-ci ont pensé à nous avec des petites attentions lors de notre arrivée. C’est un endroit magnifique. Idéal pour les familles ( piscine, trempolin, balançoires, jeux de société etc). Le calme de la campagne avec les commodités de la ville à quelques minutes de voiture. C’est un endroit que nous recommandons sans aucune hésitation.

Nous avons passé un séjour de 5 jours très agréable : Gîte idéal avec des enfants. Tout est là pour passer un week-end au top ! Grande piscine (avec accès protégé) , table de ping-pong et trampoline ont ravi nos enfants. Attention aux coups de soleil ! Un vrai plus également pour le grand salon qui est une pièce à vivre très agréable. Les propriétaires sont également très accueillants et à l'écoute! Nous reviendrons :-)

Nous avons effectué un séjour à saint Sauveur dans un gîte de charme. Le cadre est super beau et très apaisant. Le gîte très moderne et fonctionnel. Bien entretenu. Proche des grandes villes. Nous avons été reçu par une charmante dame . Ce que nous avons aussi apprécié c.est la disponibilité et l.ecoute. Nous avons passé de très agréables vacances de Pâques au domaine ... les enfants comme les adultes ont été comblés, ainsi que les chiens. Nous avons passé les fêtes de Noël en famille dans le gîte à la chaleur de la cheminée. Le gîte est superbe, une pièce à vivre somptueuse, une cuisine fonctionnelle, un cadre fantastique même pendant l'hiver (balade en forêt, animaux) Les hôtes sont prévenants (toutes les indications pour faciliter notre séjour), un accueil chaleureux (la cheminée était même déjà allumée à notre arrivée), des petites attentions qui font chaud au cœur tout au long du séjour (petit cadeaux, œufs frais du matin). Comme nous étions en famille pour les fêtes de Noël, nous avons même eu la chance de déposer nos cadeaux au pied d'un sapin spécialement décoré pour notre séjour. Je vous recommande sincèrement cette location. Merci à Christelle, Bénédicte et ses beaux-parents pour leur sympathie et bienveillance!

gite "de luxe" - un paradis dans le calme

Ce gite nous a beaucoup plu; tout était simplement parfait. Notre famille de 5 personnes y a passé 2 semaines pendant une période très chaude en été, mais les murs épais du gite ont rendu la maison assez agréable (et en haut on peut très bien aérer). Le living est très spacieux, la cuisine (qui en fait partie) est très bien équipée. Les lits sont très confortables, et la maison entière a été renovée avec beacoup de gout. Nous avons beaucoup profité de la piscine, qui est grande et bien entretenue. Les propriétaires sont très sympatiques et nous ont fait partager de leurs tomates et oeufs. Le contact avec Bénédicte avant notre arrivée a toujours été très bien. Notre fils a fait une cure à La Roche Posay, et c'est idéal parce qu'on ne met pas plus que 15 à 20 minutes en voiture. Nous recommandons vivement ce gite.

We spent a wonderful week at the Gite, 4 adults and 3 children under 5. The owner and his daughter-in-law were fantastic from the point of booking until we departed, delighting the eldest child by taking her to collect eggs from the chickens. Plenty else to do for the youngsters - a good sized heated pool, trampoline and football pitch amongst other things. The setting is incredibly picturesque and easily found from the local town of Chatelleraut where there is a market on Saturday and Thursday - plenty there to throw on the bbq in the evening. Highlights included trips to the vineyards of Chinon and the castle there, the gardens of Villandry, zoo near Samur and the Chateau de Rivau with its adventures for kids. Thank you Benedicte and all for a wonderful week - a special holiday for our two families!

Gîte très confortable, spacieux, parfaitement équipé donc très agréable. Cadre magique. Nos adolescents ont vadrouillé autour des étangs, dans la bois en toute liberté et sécurité. Notre WE ne nous a pas permis de tester la piscine, météo trop fraiche mais nous imaginions aisément une baignade au calme. Nous avons néanmoins profité des chaises longues et de la vue. Terrasse. Cheminée. Tout y est pour en profiter ! Sans compter l'accueil.

We spent 2 weeks at the cottage and had a really great time. We felt very comfortable, enjoyed this peaceful place, the pool, the landscape .... From the cottage you can make beautiful trips. Whether hiking, visit castles or a zoo, make a day trip to the seaside... Everything is possible. The owners, who live next door were very charming and friendly. We got honey, tomatoes, zucchini, eggs ... Thanks again for this! Thank you for the wonderful and unforgettable time at the cottage.
