About this apartment rental

Spacious, recently renovated apartment (1118 sq. ft.) in historic, charming Algiers Point, directly across the river from the French Quarter. Take a quick ferry ride to the French Quarter during the day and return home at night to New Orleans' second-oldest and SAFEST neighborhood (est. 1719).

CHECK-IN TIME: 4PM OR LATER.
Earlier check-in may be available (1PM or later), please ask.

CHECK-OUT TIME: 11AM. THERE IS A CHARGE OF $50 PER HOUR OR PARTIAL HOUR FOR LATE CHECKOUT.

2 FULL BATHROOMS. One with bathtub and one with spacious shower.

LAYOUT. This apartment has a classic New Orleans SHOTGUN FLOOR PLAN, in which one room follows another. Please review the floor plan (in photos) before booking to ensure the property is right for you.

WHITE BEDROOM
—2 QUEEN BEDS with 12" memory foam mattresses.
—Desk with desk lamp and chair.
32” TV with digital antenna (local channels only).

PRIMARY BEDROOM
—1 KING BED with 12" memory foam mattress.
—50" Roku Smart TV connected to Internet.

REAR BEDROOM
—1 QUEEN BED with 12" memory foam mattress.
—32” TV with digital antenna (local channels only).

LIVING ROOM
—1 TWIN BED (trundle bed is an actual twin bed with a 12” mattress).
—1 DOUBLE SOFA BED (the white couch may be collapsed into a double-sized sofa bed. Not a real mattress, and not as comfortable as a real bed!).
—50" Roku Smart TV connected to Internet.

WIFI
200+ Mbps Wifi with powerful wireless router/signal with a range extender. Wifi signal easily reaches throughout the entire unit (may be slower in very rear/backyard, but still powerful enough to easily stream movies, music, etc.).

CENTRAL AIR AND HEAT. You control the thermostat.

KITCHEN. Full kitchen with all necessities for cooking and serving full meals, including pots and pans, mixing bowls, colander, blender, microwave, gas range and oven, drip coffee maker and Keurig, dishwasher, toaster, etc. If you need an item or small appliance that is not provided, please ask, the host may have one.

BACK YARD AND PATIO
You may use all the back yard except for the other tenant's patio (directly behind the door of the other unit). Please keep noise at a low volume and do not play music during the quiet hours of 8pm-8am. Our neighbors thank you.

HOUSE RULES
These rules are for everyone's safety and to ensure that other tenants and the neighborhood are respected. They are present in the listing description and were agreed-to at the time of booking. Violating any of the following may, in rare circumstances, result in your reservation being terminated, in which case you will be required to vacate the rental immediately without refund.

NO PARTIES, EVENTS, VISITORS, OR VISITING GUESTS.
The number of guests on the reservation is the number of guests permitted on the property, without prior authorization from the host in a message on the platform. Thank you.

SMOKING PERMITTED OUTDOORS ONLY. Please close doors/windows while smoking (outside only) so that smoke does not drift in. Thank you.

EXTERIOR CAMERA.
The rental has one camera, over the front door.

TRAVELERS' INSURANCE/TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. No refunds are available for trip cancellations. Please purchase travel insurance so you may be entitled to be refunded per the policy.

In town for a family reunion, so we had two families stay in the rental. The rooms are exactly as described in the listing. Each room was quite roomy and perfectly clean with thoughtful, small touches. The kitchen had everything one might need to cook, snack, and enjoy coffee or tea. We rent often and, by far, this rental has the best mattresses we’ve ever slept on! Each bed, including the day bed in the living room, was super comfortable. We all slept extremely well and were surprised at just how nice the mattresses are. We also enjoyed having a cafe and a few corner stores that we could walk to. The check-in and check-out processes were also the easiest, ever. No stripping the beds, starting the laundry or dishwasher. Just turn off the lights and thermostat, and that’s it. If we have need to stay on the west bank again, we know we can’t go wrong by renting this place. I gave this a 5 star review, but we had an issue with one of the toilets that wouldn’t consistently flush. However, it didn’t sullen our stay and Josh was very responsive.

Absolutely loved it here. The neighborhood is amazing, it’s welcoming and traditional New Orleans . The neighbors were SO friendly and helpful. The home beautiful and I was a little scared of the location at first because it’s across the river, BUT if I ever come back, this will be where I stay because a short ferry ride gets you everywhere you need to go for two bucks compared to trying to drive everywhere and paying obscene parking this is the way to do it! We actually bought the day pass for 3 per adult/1 per child and that way we could ride the ferry and the street cars and everything to get where we needed to go. I cannot say enough good things about this location and this home it was a treat to stay here!

Communication with host wasn’t always prompt. Had issues connecting to wifi in back of house. There was construction going on next door so we were unable to rest during day.
