By definition, Aquarius is defined as water carrier or water bearer, and is the perfect name for this beautiful gulf view home located on the south side of 30A boasting dual water views. The front of the house overlooks one of our rare coastal dune lakes, Oyster Lake, and the back has partial gulf views of the spectacular Gulf of Mexico. Aquarius also features its own private, beach boardwalk for convenient, easy beach access for the entire family.
Aquarius’ 4 bedrooms are privately positioned, 1 in each corner of the house with individual sliding glass doors for balcony access, and there’s also a bonus bedroom and bath at ground level. This is my 56th year vacationing on Dune Allen beach.....I’m very familiar with the beauty of this beach and it is one that holds many many memories from my life since my own childhood. We are now into the fourth generation of family at this beach, having stayed in dozens of rentals by dozens of extended family members.The Proctor house was rented by my aunt several summers over 30 years ago. It is reminiscent of the old style Florida beach houses built after the cinder block ones. It is a lovely and spacious house, and we enjoy the space for family meals. There are some pieces of furniture which need attention as they are a bit wobbly...tables and chairs. I personally like the antiques which furnish the house. However, if I may be honest, there is a bit too much clutter decor, seashells and personal items which disallow us to us some of the spaces....but we appreciate the size of the spaces to gather with family and friends on our trip.I would like to know if the bedspreads and the sofa covers are cleaned in between renters.....we try to respect the furnishings but I am hopeful that they are washed for each family....I would recommend this rental to others who appreciate the space it provides....PS...I am from Lafayette, La, not Baton Roige...

Place was as advertised and worked perfectly for our 2 families and 3 kids for a total of 7 people. Beach is right there which is really all you need to enjoy your time at this property. Would definitely return.
