Fine,nice hotel. Beautiful view, not far from sea, ideal clean, parking, kitchen , washing

Guesthouse Charli has everything you might need for an undemanding stay next to the sea. Clean and reasonable-sized rooms, well-functioning air-conditioners in rooms, well-equipped spacious kitchen and a common area good both for eating and work (including sockets next to the table!), the facility looks new and taken care of. Hosts are nice and kind, special thanks to Miranda who helped us to sort out the taxi to the airport in the middle of the night when the taxi apps were not available and was generally very welcoming and helpful. It's just 9 guest rooms, so even when fully booked, doesn't feel very crowded. I preferred "mountain view" over the "sea view", because the sea is basically visible only from a rooftop terrace, the "sea" side is more loud since it overlooks the neighbouring swimming pool, while the "mountain" side is quieter and overlooks the nature. A little private corner shop and a bakery with shoti (Georgian bread) with fresh fruit, vegetables, homemade diary is 5-minutes walk, a bigger chain-shop Nikora is 2 minutes further. Beach is 8-10-minutes walk, there you will also find plenty of nice restaurants with fish and other dishes, mostly Georgian. You should also check a bungalow restaurant owned by the hosts, food is delicious there! I prefer Gonio over Batumi in high season, because there are less crowded beaches and calmer surroundings, yet nice places to eat all along the beach. It's just 25 mins from centre of Batumi by bus, but feels much more resort-like.

I like mostly everything and would totally come back! An air conditioner in the common area would make it even better and the only drawback is that shower-tap systems were semi-functioning in some of the rooms, hopefully, this can be fixed.

We stayed 6 nights at Charli, room 203 on the second floor that overlooked a quiet yard and the mountains. The rooms on the other side of the hallways overlook a pool from another hotel. Then we added two more nights at the room 102 as the weather was just starting to clear up from rains (Georgian summers). Overall we liked the hotel. Great kitchen where we cooked homemade meals apart from goong out to eat. There is a new washing machine, too. The distance - about 8-10 minutes of walk from the sea, if you use the shortcut. Ask for it, the administration will tell u. Speaking of the administration, Miranda works day shifts so when we came in, there was no one to greet us. A smiley old lady from the house in front gave us the keys. She speaks no English and a tiny bit of Russian, fyi. Breakfasts were included in the price when we booked (now not) in the bungalo Charli on the seashore, and Izolda made us tasty food with generous portions. Everything is decently sized, and pretty good. The girls working there are also very nice. The room - as the hotel is fairly new, the rooms are cool, if you have a balcony, lots if light, beds are comfy and clean, but as we "enjoyed" rainy weather for 3 days, there was a strong humid smell from the newly painted walls. You need to air the rooms out well. The second room on the first floor (102)- not my favorite. The water pump or a generator is right outside the window, and everytime a guest opens water in their room or kitchen, it whirrs to life and is pretty noisy. However, we were able to sleep well as very few ppl use it at night. The open roof - amazing! The views and the air simply great. A nice place to hang out with a beer or cup of coffee in the evenings. Clranliness - very clean. It's a Georgian style hotel so there is no room service and the trash isn't taken out, even in the bathroom. And if u run out of toilet paper, just ask the housekeeper ladies.
