Charming country house in forest 20 minutes west of Blois. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with two single beds, extra sofa bed, central dining area with table for 6, wonderful fully-equipped kitchen with large refrigerator, bathroom with shower, spacious wrap-around terrace with grill, great WiFi and cable TV, and onsite parking directly in front of house steps. Extremely friendly hosts, easy communication and lovely area recommendations. All in all, a beautiful as well as convenient location for visiting the world-famous Loire and Cher castles combined with the peace and quiet of the French countryside!!

On arrival we found an awful musty/unclean smell throughout property, kitchen not cleaned and crawling with ants. Fridge had a nasty smell, we spent first evening cleaning whole kitchen to make it habitable. Toilet is in a broom cupboard and very smelly. Whole property is dark and miserable, not somewhere I would choose to spend my holiday. There are no wardrobes, nor anywhere else to hang clothes. No curtains either. Vrbo describe this place as “Exceptional “, it’s not even Acceptable and should never be on Vrbo offer list. If we had not already paid a lot of money for this rental we would not have stayed.

Lovely property in a quiet area, with very good views. Loads of outdoor space so you could catch the sun anytime. Ideally situated for visiting chateaux (if you are French) . We visited Chateau de Clos where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years, well worth a visit from a technical aspect, although not the most picturesque of chateau. There was much information about places to visit The property was very well equipped and all the appliances worked ( didn’t try the oven though) Shower room was clean but would maybe benefit from a makeover. Vincent and Francois were very good hosts

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is comfortable and has a good equipped kitchen. The beds are good and spacious. We loved the terras and the view, the many birds, and squirrels around. I counted at least 20 different birds. Here the nights are dark and very quiet. It is not 5 star luxe but 5 star nature and pleasure. Every morning fresh bread from the baker in the village. And close to all the highlights of the Loire.

Charming chalet in the forest with all mod cons. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the terrace when the weather permitted. Ideally placed for visiting the local chateaux. We had a very enjoyable week.

This lovely house is located in a wooded area, very quiet, you only hear the birds sing. We were very happy with the big terrace where we stayed every night till late( we brought our own lightening strips to attach to the balcony). Kitchen is small, but everything is there and in a good condition, nothing broken. For visiting the Loire castles it is situated ideally. For biking it is also a nice area, but you must have a good condition, it is not flat!

Less of a chalet, more of a cabin! Kitchen nice and well equipped, but lounge was gloomy and not particularly comfortable. Shower room and toilet unwelcoming and cold because towel rail not working. Other heating was good. Bed comfortable. Could not find directions to house and as it was dark created some concern, luckily google maps helped.

A quiet, secluded place to spend a few days. The property is more of a cabin than a house as the rental is only one floor of the building (the rest is unused) so could be quite cosy for a family, but perfect for a couple. The outside terrace is a great place to eat, drink & enjoy the peace & quiet. I had a great couple of days away from the world, exploring the local(ish) towns of Blois (15mins) & Tours (45mins). Both lovely places to spend a few hours and surprisingly accessible considering how rural the property location is. The owners live in the property next door. Gave complete privacy but on hand if you need anything!

A great welcome on arrival. House is in a lovely peaceful location within easy reach of Tours & Blois, as well as other wonderful chateau. The house is simple but well equipped, with a nice kitchen & shower room. Hope we can find time to go back!!

Our hosts, Francoise and Vincent were very accommodating and helpful. Both Vincent and Francoise helped us improve our French. Vincent made phone calls to find out the opening times for church in the village. There were 2 good sized bedrooms with comfortable beds and drawers for storage. Big separate toilet. Complete kitchen with good utensils. Nestled in the woods great for privacy and hearing the Cuckoos and woodpeckers, yet only a short stroll along the road to a picnic area and brook. In a great position to visit the eastern side of the Loire Valley with its vineyards and Chateaux. They had lots of brochures to look at. Television only had French stations but the internet was good. Was a bit surprised to find that heating was extra ( 20 euros for 4 nights) but needed heating as it was still chilly.

We had a very pleasant stay in this nice house! Very clean, nicely renovated, new kitchen and bathroom! In the middle of the Castles of the Loire-region so perfect for trips to Chambord, Chenonceaux, ... Really nice owners who live in the house next to it. They gave many tips as what to visit and were really helpful! Overall a very pleasant week! Thanks again!!
