Stay in this luxurious, two bedroom, two bath condo. It is across the street from the world-famous Hilton Waikoloa and is also near the Mauni Lani Resort and Fairmont Orchid Resort. The Vista Waikoloa is a GEM in the Waikoloa Village! The condo itself is spacious and well appointed. It offers spectacular views of the golf course and mountains. It is in a quiet and private location.

The resort is nestled around the beautiful crescent-shaped white sand beach of Anaehoomalu Bay. Many water-sports available from this magnificent beach. Windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling, glass-bottom boat, dive trips, etc. The King's Shops within walking offers world-class dining and shopping.

The condo had everything we needed for our short stay, and we were rarely inside to take advantage of amenities.The only initial confusion was our assumption that the second bedroom was also a king bed based on photos. The owner’ son was great at communicating and helping with any issues even while out of the country. This is a great condo for families with children!

Great property. We loved the quite corner location overlooking the golf course and Mauna Kea Mountain. The floor plan was really nice and the unit was well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked it had everything we needed. We also loved the location we never ended up using our car as we love to walk and walked to everything. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. Finally the owner host was always responsive and easy to work with. We will be BACK!

We had the best stay at Shawn’s place. Even though it’s an older place it was beautiful and clean. Even my grandmother would have approved. The kitchen was well appointed and beds were comfortable. Shawn also gave us some great pointers on places to visit including the Lava Lava Beach Club for dinner. Thanks again!!

We selected this property after reviewing the location, rates, amenities, and photos of this and other properties. We were completely satisfied with our decision as everything was to our expectation. We were fortunate to have had the perfect weather and access to the pool, shopping complex and restaurants located within walking distance. What made our stay more enjoyable was the property owners hospitality. They were easy to work with and were quick to respond when we contacted them. I would definitely recommend staying at this unit when in Waikoloa. Mahalo Shawn!

Wonderful condo in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful place. This location is perfect - there is so much to do in and around Waikoloa. We could walk to nearby restaurants (Tropics Tap House is within walking distance and has great food & drinks), several resorts (day pass at the Hilton is highly recommended as if the Luau at the Marriott), shopping and groceries. This clean and quiet condo has all the amenities that made for a comfortable stay. We all enjoyed the pool and eating on the lanai. Dennis made sure that we were able to get into the place when we arrived, which was a nice touch (his directions were clear and we had no problems getting in). Highly recommended for a fun and relaxing vacation on the Big Island.

Couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Check in and check out were super easy. We barely needed a rental car. Everything is a 10 minute walk. Beach, restaurants, Starbucks, etc. Rented paddle boards kayaks cabanas at the beach. Unit had umbrella, beach chairs body boards and a cooler. Nice breezes keep the air fresh overnight. Couldn’t really ask for more.

We were there to compete in the LavaMan Triathlon. The location was perfect for that event. The property was very nice and we felt safe. The rooms were spacious and fairly clean. We had a golf course view, which was better than a parking lot view. A few days before we arrived, the property manager contacted us and asked if we would like a different location in Kona. Not being familiar with the area, we agreed to the other location. During the first night of our stay in Kona, we learned that the Kona condo was infested with mice. After a mouse crawled on one guest, we ended up having to get a room at another hotel for the night. The property manager agreed to let us relocate to the original Waikoloa location, but spoke to us as if we were being dishonest about the mice we saw. He was able to get us into the Wiakoloa location, but was not able to have it cleaned first, so we had to clean it ourselves (reason for the poor rating) , with zero price adjustment. The rest of our stay went well. As mentioned, this was the perfect location if you are participating in the LavaMan.

We had a lovely stay in Big Island. The spacious apartment with large lanai was very welcome and a good airconditioning unit that covered the entire apartment also great for the warm and windless days. Our property owner was very responsive and although there wasn’t really internet available and cell reception was also poor it didn’t bother us as much. We appreciated the ability to create a play and good bed room for our daughter. The area was also great because of shops close and the other owners organized a great Halloween party. Swimming pool end of day was perfect to cool down. Overall totally recommend the property.

This place was very clean, organised, spacious, quiet and was fully stocked with plenty of kitchenware etc. It’s extremely close to the resorts and amenities at Waikaloa village, and the onsite pool was private, warm and beautiful...no need for a resort! Dennis was very attentive to our initial issues with getting in and was really pleasant to converse with. Great for families or couples. We would definitely stay here again.

The unit is large and spacious. It could use a little TLC and a deep clean. Kitchen could also use some common items. No scissors, colander/strainer, coffee grinder was small and not that reliable. Kitchenware is dated. The lanai is very spacious, would have been nice if the tile flooring of the lanai had been washed prior to our arrival. The light over the shower in the master bath did not work and there several burned out light bulbs when we arrived. All issues I mentioned are easily fixed. Short walk to beach which is nice.

Great place, great location

We stayed at the Vista and it was a wonderful amount of space four our family of four. The lanai is absolutely huge and had lovely views of the golf course. It was well stocked and the owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. My son even forgot his football there and the owner hand delivered it to the next place that we were staying. Mahalo!

We stayed at this spot for about 10 days and enjoyed the property and location ... we really enjoyed our breakfast on the lanai -- the birds loved the trees and shrubs near the building so we had fun bird watching. The tile floors were nice and cool, and we just LOVED the heated pool -- my son was in it all the time. We had everything we needed and felt we could really relax. I found it a bit noisy with golf course maintenance at times, but it was far from a problem. We were completely unaffected by the volcano ... it was not an issue other than responding to all the people asking us about it! It's all going on far from this spot. Don't let it stop you from coming to the Big Island. It's the best! Working with Dennis, the owner, has been really lovely. I feel like we have a new friend!

Just finished my 3 week March vacation and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay. Dennis has done a great job outfitting the condo to make your stay a comfortable one. You have everything you need including your beach requirements, like chairs, towel and toys. The condo has been recently upgraded throughout and comes with very comfortable furniture. The condo is centrally located and your just a short walk to shopping centres, restaurants and A-Bay the local beach. You are only 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from some of the best white sand beaches on the Big Island. My favourite was the hugh Lanai that wraps around the condo, many a quiet night was spent relaxing, reading a book enjoying a glass of wine. Enjoy your stay, I highly recommend it.

We recently spent the holidays at this condo in the Waikaloa resort area of the Big Island. Overall location was excellant as it is close to many beaches, and resort shopping. Dennis , the owner was excellent to deal with responding to any questions fast and makes the booking process very easy. The condo is located in a very well maint complex with a lovely heated pool & hot tub area. If you want to bbq you have to use the communal bbqs about 100 steps from the unit. The condo itself looks out over the golf course with a large balcony. The one disappointment for me was the lack of direct sunlight the condo receives. For some that may be a plus but coming for a sun vacation i need sunlight which this unit in December receives very little. The unit was adequately appointed but we found the kitchen missing some essential items. An easy fix. We loved our 1st visit to the big isle and will return.

We stayed here for 10 days with our two sons and we loved this condo! It's very nice and there was everything we needed. We enjoyed the heated pool and the beach equipment, especially the boogieboards. It was lovely to eat breakfast on the lanai every morning. Dennis is really good to work with, we got fast answers to all our questions. We would definitely stay here again anytime!

Family of four (with two teens) stayed here for 10 days on a very sunny Spring Break last month. This is a functional, very open floor plan condo that worked really well for us... kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable, plenty of towels and linens. A stash of beach gear in the lanai closet...did the trick and saved us some money although the boogie boards and two snorkel sets have seen some love and may need to be updated soon. Vista Waikoloa is one the first condo complexes built in the area, but I loved the location...walking distance to beach (closest condo besides pricey Kolea), shops, hotels, etc. The layout is nice and had one of the best and largest lanai's that looked over the golf course. We had friends staying down the road at a newer complex, and while it was very attractive and modern, it definitely wasn't as spacious and the lanai was very small. Condo was just as it was pictured. My kids did sleep with that slider door open to the living area...for some reason there is no ceiling fan in the second bedroom and with both doors shut it made it unbearably warm at night, but doors open it was fine. The master bedroom was very comfortable....I miss that bed! The warm salt water pool was enjoyable, only heated pool in Waikoloa I understand. When you rent a VRBO it really matters who the owners are and how they manage their rental. Dennis is on top of his rentals and is one of the best communicators I have experienced in regards to an owner. If we visit the Big Island again I will definitely seek out one of his properties! ** A word on the noise/privacy... Dennis called and updated me on the roofing situation two weeks before our trip. They had finished our building but were still on the property finishing up. When we got there they were set up right outside our building, but they did not start til after 8, and honestly, we were gone all day doing fun stuff so whatever noise they made then I cannot say. Their mess was a bit of an eyesore, as was the maintenance trail that was set up passing the beautiful lanai but I am sure that is temporary and now, a month later, probably isn't even there. I will say, the golf course mowing would be the one negative. While we were there they mowed every morning between 6:30 and 7. Our last morning it was 4:45am, which we reported to Dennis, and he planned on talking to management as this was unacceptable to him as an owner. Despite the mowing, I still recommend!!

This is our third time staying in this unit, and is hands down, the most amazing place to stay in Hawaii. It's comfortable, clean, and close to an incredible array of things to do. We would take a short walk down to the beach every evening with folding chairs provided in the unit and cocktails made courtesy of fresh fruit from Hawaii and a blender, also provided in the unit. What a way to enjoy a sunset! A variety of shops are a short walk away (everything from Tiffany Jewelry to Crazy Shirts and Hawaii souvenirs. We stayed with our folks this time, and the condo comfortably housed us all with the ability for us each to have a little bit of private space, if we wished. There is a pretty, little blue-tiled pool to do laps, and two jacuzzis in which to relax. There is also a nicely appointed workout room, if you are crazy enough to spend your time working out on your vacation. For those who like to grill, there is a huge outdoor ramada with seating and several gas barbecues to use that are clean and do a great job of grilling that fresh fish to go with your pineapple salsa. If that is not enough, it also sits on very well maintained golf course, for the golf enthusiast. In the morning you can sip your Kona coffee on the large lanai and listen to the tropical birds greet the day. The kitchen is well-appointed and we were able to save a great deal of money by hitting Costco in Kona and eating meals in at night. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit, so you really don't need too much in the way of clothing to pack. The owners are very quick to respond to any inquiries, and are very kind and hospitable. You will not find a better value on the big island!
