Da tranquilidade e simpatia da Catarina ;)

A casa tinha melgas, tirando isso tudo excelente.

Aunque hemos visitado el Algarve en numerosas ocasiones, esta parte, algo al interior, no la habíamos pisado. Nos ha sorprendido la cantidad de aspectos de interés que guarda la zona (históricos, patrimoniales, humanos, de naturaleza,...) además de mantener, incluso a pesar de la ventaja de su proximidad a la costa, su propia personalidad, con una economía abierta al turismo aunque con una base agrícola potente. El alojamiento puede representar un poco de esto mismo: inicialmente una explotación exclusivamente agrícola que ha incluido en su desarrollo la opción de turismo rural enfocando todos sus servicios desde el punto de vista de respeto máximo con el medio ambiente. Los alojamientos están perfectamente equipados y, además de la tranquilidad, de las instalaciones, de la piscina, de las barbacoas, del clima, etc. también se puede disfrutar de los paseos entre frutales y visitar la huerta-bio. Desde el primer momento, y gracias a la introducción al alojamiento que se encarga de hacer Catarina, y a sus explicaciones cargadas de sentido, podemos apreciar y valorar el sentido de un proyecto ilusionante y en marcha. Alojamiento totalmente recomendable. Para repetir.

Quinta do Maranhão exceeded every expectation. Catarina and her mother welcomed us warmly, walking us through the property and sharing its history — a lovely personal touch that set the tone for the whole stay. Our apartment was immaculate, right down to a beautiful arrangement of fresh-cut flowers on the table. As people who love to cook, we were delighted to find a well-stocked selection of condiments already provided. The terrace was a highlight — a shaded dining table draped by grapevines made every meal outside feel like a proper occasion. The saltwater pool was wonderful, and two outdoor barbecue kitchens give guests plenty of options for cooking al fresco. Practicalities were equally well handled: ample parking on site, with Lagos city center and the beaches just a short drive away. Our small dog was made to feel genuinely welcome (for a modest fee), and despite pets being permitted, the apartment was pristine — not the slightest hint that an animal had ever been there before. One of the finest places we’ve stayed in Portugal. Highly recommended.
