About this house rental
Heated Salt water pool & hot tub on 2.5 Acres. Lawn games & outdoor living room!
New for May 2025- Brand new resort-style pool area with fresh concrete, new hot tub, new pool liner and more! Photos coming soon.
Completely separate owner/caretakers quarters onsite, occupied by our property manager. Pool, hot-tub, grilling, etc are private spaces for guests & NOT shared

You will have the entire 1st, 2nd floor, and outside areas. There is a two bedroom self-contained apartment in the basement that myself or caretaker stays in. Pool, hot-tub etc are private spaces for guests.

The outdoor pool has been converted to salt water and will open mid April and close September/October. If this is something you care to use near the time frame of opening and closing, please confirm that the pool is open. Pool is heated to 80 degrees and can be heated to 85 degrees for an extra $100. Pool temperature cannot be guaranteed in April and October.
*Please bring your own pool towels and pool toys*
*Owner/property overseer keeps completely separate basement quarters w/ own entrance, etc. Pool and hot-tub are PRIVATE spaces for guests*
The outdoor living room is the most relaxing location for me. Drinking a cup of coffee in the morning or watching a sunset. It's a wonderful space.
There is also a 1.5 Acre front yard for lawn games
The traffic pattern near the home changed in 2015 and GPS isn't always correct. Apple maps are correct, other gps maps are not updated. Very close to Costco and Martin's grocery store. 10 minutes to Massanutten. Super convenient location while still have farms on three sides. The city has grown past the home.
All bedrooms except large children's room have TVs.

Hot Tub has been moved to poolside, and the patio resurfaced. New patio furniture for spring 2024.
Please remind your guests to dry off before sitting or laying on the beds.
We provide large black trash bags for you to put your trash in. They are located in the garage on the shelf.
Please be aware of the gravel around the spa area. Do not allow kids to throw gravel in the pool.

What a perfect spot for our family vacation! Our children are mostly adults now and we had outgrown the house we used to go to and this was the ideal upgrade for us! Plenty of space in the house to have separate time or great areas to do activities together. The pool was beautiful and was thoroughly enjoyed. The outdoor living room was perfect for us to gather for games. Everything was clean and well maintained and we really felt right at home. The communication was superb. We will be back!

The pool heater was not working but it was hot so we were fine. Temporary pipes run to replace underground pipe lines that were broken seemed to be working. The pool continued to leak about 3” a day so even though water was brought in and remained about a foot below normal it was usable. By the end of the week the floor of the pool was very slippery, maybe an indication pool maintenance was lacking. When we arrived we found any bait traps in the kitchen window sill and by that evening ants were all over our food containers. After 2 days of moving the ant bait we got the ants under control. The refrigerator was not working when we arrived on Sunday evening but by Monday morning a new on was delivered. The 2 bedrooms above the garage we always warm do to not having a separate thermostat so the master bedroom which controls those bedrooms was much cooler than normal trying to get cool air to that upstairs area. We enjoyed playing pool however a light over the pool table would have been nice. In general the whole house was lacking enough lights in some areas. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with cookware but the utensils and cookware were mostly dirty so that was washed before we used them. Carla seemed a bit overwhelmed with all the problems that hit her all at once but she was in contact with us keeping us informed about what was being done. I think she did as well as could be expected.
