Prior to visit, owners had been responsive with property details, directions and key pick up . On the morning we arrived we received another message in German telling us that we were staying in the other property on the site. We were met on arrival by the manger, unfortunately he spoke very little English and everything was done by Google translate. It appeared that two families had been checking into both the properties on the same day, and in error our villa had been given to the other family. It wasn't a problem as the properties are identical , but I see from reviews this happens a lot so not sure what is happening there? Anyway villa is located an easy 15 mins drive from the airport and centrally located meaning it was perfect to visit all the popular tourist spots on the island. The villa was large , spacious and decorated in a traditional style and perfect for two couples . There was plenty of hot water for showers/ baths and villa was pretty well equipped although some items in kitchen could do with being updated .There is a large outside space , with loungers and table and chairs which means you can sit in the sun all day. The swimming pool was lovely and although it was supposed to be heated by solar panels , it was pretty cool despite 20 + degrees sunshine , although we did manage to have a swim every day. It is in a lovely quiet residential area , with views to the hills , prefect to relax in. There are no shops or bars/restaurant in the local town so you will need a car to access things like that in other villages nearby . It would have been useful to have a villa handbook to say how things like the heater worked and what to do with rubbish etc although we managed with Whats App messages to manager . A lovely place to stay for winter sun , a real treat to eat breakfast outside every morning and would stay again if visiting the island .

WiFi was very poor , ranging from just about ok to non existent some days . When we spoke to the manager about it he just said its rural. Although the kitchen is well equipped it could do with some new glasses as they are very mismatched and not many of them, and cutlery especially some sharp kitchen knives . Would be good to have some sort of villa handbook with instructions on equipment ( ie heater/ air con) local places to visit or eat , and what to do with rubbish etc although we managed with whats app messages to the manager

The house is lovely, very spacious living area, and great outside space too. It's very private and not overlooked. Juan was very helpful and even gave us a lift to collect a rental car. The pool is a great size and has steps down which suited our youngest. The house has two fab bathrooms, which was a bonus with a teen in the mix. We didn't cook much but the kitchen is well equipped. Although rural, the location is very central and a short drive from major resorts, the airport and Arrecife. The supermarket is a couple of minutes away in a car or a 15 minute walk. It's very dark at night at the house - amazing starry skies!

A perfect little place! So peaceful and quiet. Absolutely everything we needed. Ideal for two weeks of rest and relaxation!

There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like - it might have been nice to be able to walk to a restaurant, but there are plenty of great places a short distance drive away.
