Perfect Location for a Trip Down Memory Lane

A lovely two night stay in this wonderful property, clean, well equipped kitchen, situated in an idyllic place. Short walk to local pub which serves excellent food. Perfect location to access towns such as Granville, the local zoo, Brehal beach and Villedieu les Poles. Nathalie offers a very warm welcome, her English is excellent and was very accommodating, highly recommended and an easy drive from Cherbourg. All in all, it was the perfect base for a weekend trip to revisit some treasured memories.

Nathalie is a wonderful host who made sure we had a comfortable stay.

We went with our child of nearly 3 years old and he loved the place. Nathalie is a wonderful host who made sure our child had a lot of toys to play with and who kept checking in during our stay to see if we needed anything else. She also gave a lot of tips for visits and sightseeing in the area, like the market on Wednesdays just 2 villages south, the zoo to the east and of course Granville, just a short drive of 15 min. to the west. At arrival Nathalie gave a tour of the place, which was cleaned very thoroughly and smelled really nice. The breakfast was fine; some bread, jam, butter, juice, tea and sometimes we got a little extra like eggs. Great places to visit are: Mt. St. Michel, Granville (has a beautiful old city) and its beaches (including sea swimming pools), the Zoo de Champrépus (feed the farm animals and have a look at the Tigers, Cheetahs, Leopard, Lion, Giraffes and more), Mega Fun (very fun play hall for kids, which is free for the accompanying adults), Abbey's (several close-by) and the museums of D-Day (there are several and you will have to drive for an hour to the north).

Unfortunately the washing machine had broken down before we arrived, due to a tear in the rubber, but Nathalie came to the rescue and we were allowed to wash our laundry at her place. We didn't mind the church bells ringing, but sometimes our child could not fall asleep at 7 o'clock in the morning after them ringing, which was unfortunate when we wanted to sleep in. The stairs cannot be blocked off, not up- or downstairs, so our child had to be monitored at all times. The interior was quite outdated and not really to our liking, which is just our preference, but the big sofa chairs and beds were comfy, which matters more. The shower is on the small size for a tall dutch guy like me. There were a lot of flies coming in whenever we opened a window, they were too numerous to kill off and it was really annoying. The WiFi is really slow (max. 1 Mpbs up and 2.5 Mpbs down), which was a bummer, because we needed better bandwidth for doing some business back home. Nathalie offered for us to use her personal WiFi in the kitchen, but we didn't want to impose. We used a mobile phone near the window (inside the service is almost nill) as hotspot and that worked fine.

Very quiet village 15 mins from Granville ( well worth a trip), Nathalie our host was very helpful & friendly. Her english is excellent. She offered us an evening meal option which was lovely. Her Galettes & apple/rhubarb tart was yummy..

Very lovely, quiet and cosy.

I loved that it was a quiet and lovely location in a small town in the countryside. The hostess was very friendly and helped us by giving us tips on where to go and visit. Where to eat. She also prepared a simple but very good and fresh breakfast for us. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. It was a very great stay. It’s also quite close to a lot of activities and sights. I’d love to go again.

Idyllic countyside with kind host

When you like idyllic countryside that’s the one for you. Extremely nice and welcoming host. Enough space. Not being a couple, we were able to sleep in separate rooms. Breakfast included selfmade jam, very tasty.

Had one of my best sleeps there, interrupted by churchbells early in the morning :)

Abbiamo alloggiato una notte in questa casa di passaggio durante il nostro giro in Normandia, perchè era ideale per il nostro gruppo di quattro persone. Al piano terra salottino e cucina, mentre al piano rialzato l'abitazione consta di due camere da letto e un bagno con doccia. La casa si trova in un paesino che non ha molto da offrire, e per questo infatti ringraziamo la signora Nathalie, che parla anche lo spagnolo, che è stata molto disponibile per organizzare la cena al nostro arrivo. L'auto la si può parcheggiare all'interno del giardino.

Maison propre, bien équipée et très fonctionnelle située à 20 minutes de Granville dans un endroit très calme et bucolique. Nathalie a fait son maximum pour rendre notre séjour agréable et nous a fourni des informations utiles pour visiter sur place. Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour qui veut être au calme et visiter la région.
