Seaside Cottage

This is an exceptional accommodation in the area full of standard hotels - a self-contained cottage near the beach. Privacy and serenity of the place are above all praise, the owner is practical and nice, hands-on and present for the key moments of the stay. We enjoyed the beautiful green garden, with plenty of shaded seating and a hammock, and as an extra convenience in addition to the inside bathroom - the garden shower with full water pressure and hot water supply, very handy after the beach. There is a powerful wi-fi that carried me even through my work calls without a glitch and a covered front porch with a TV and comfortable seating to spend the evenings. Special notice for the wonderful open view of Olympus mountain right from the cottage - because of a field in front, the view is not obstructed by trees. The wide sandy Olympic beach is about a 100m away via a quiet way along the river.

We really liked our stay, so nothing major, but note that there is no separate living room in the cottage itself, communal spaces for sitting are all outside. The kitchen is galley shape, pretty tight and hot if you choose to cook, on the other hand the refrigerator is huge, including the freezer with tons of ice containers. The location is away from the centres of activity and restaurants - about 1km one way, or 1,5km the other. There is an esplanade to walk, not shaded, and there is a public bus that shuttles back and forth. Having a car is recommended.

It was very peaceful. The hosts were very nice. The house had everything we needed. We will definitely come back again.
