Villa Dalmatian Gem

Pavo est un hôte incroyablement accueillant et très généreux. Toujours à nous saluer avec le sourire et nous a donné beaucoup de conseils et de recommandations. Il nous a offert à notre arrivée de la pastèque, du vin blanc maison et de l'huile d'olive. La villa est vraiment bien conçue et très bien équipée avec des équipements de cuisine (+ sacs poubelles, liquide vaisselle, pastilles de lave-vaisselle, épices ect...), lave-linge, télé, cafetière. Il y a également un espace extérieur avec coin repas couvert avec tout le nécessaire (barbecue, ustensiles, spray moustiques...) et une piscine. L’Emplacement est paradisiaque au milieu d’une vallée entourée de montagnes. Une vue imprenable tout autour - vraiment paisible. Superbes couchers de soleil depuis le balcon arrière donnant sur la campagne boisée. A proximité de Dubrovnik, de petits villages comme Mlini, Molunat et Cavtat, et à seulement 5 km de la frontière du Monténégro, ce qui est idéal pour une excursion d'une journée. La Villa 10/10 nous espérons revenir ici à l'avenir !

Pavo the host is welcoming, incredibly hospitable and generous. Always greeting us with a smile and asking about our day, whilst also respecting our privacy and allowing us to feel that the villa was ours. All Pavo's recommendations for places to see, were excellent. As we stayed for 2 weeks, he kindly gave us fresh bedding at the end of the first week. He gifted us home grown melon, home made white wine and olive oil, all were delicious and gave us an authentic flavour of the region. During our stay it was his niece's birthday party. What a pleasure it was to be brought up some birthday cake, suffice to say it was delicious The villa was spotless and the outside grill and covered terrace was a lovely place to have evening BBQs. The pool is small but perfect for our needs. My two teenage daughters had hours of fun playing in it, and as a family, it was a welcomed asset after a long day out sightseeing. But equally made our peaceful days at the villa more relaxing and enjoyable. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, the views incredible. We wanted a place far from the madding crowd. It was, whilst also never being too far from all that we wanted to do and see.

We needed to buy more ice trays, which we left one tray not enough for 4 people. As we were staying for two weeks we would have liked some more cleaning products available to clean the bathroom and floors, which after a week with 4 people, needed a quick clean to get us through the 2 week stay. We bought another scourer and used washing up liquid to give the bathroom a quick once over.

Location was great - quite rural and with lovely views of the mountains.

Amenities basic, one bedroom damp, one of the "ensuite" facilities is shabby, smelly and has a minitub bath with shower over, a washing machine, sink and toilet in a tiny space. We stayed 11 nights and the sheets and towels weren't changed in that time
