Apartment A Kind of Magic

L'appartement est spacieux et bien équipé, la terrasse offre une vue imprenable sur la mer. Daniel est arrangeant et très disponible. La vieille ville est accessible à pied (20min) et un arrêt de bus est également tout près.

Terrace with good view and orange trees, proximity to bus line, well equipped kitchen (but we couldn't figure out the stove) Washing machine and clothesline! Large bedroom. Directions and photos of property to help us find it.

Booked this accommodation based on glowing reviews about the host but we got an absent management company that took days to answer questions. Strictly self check in with no flexibility on check in time of 4:00. After days of questions about how to use the stove, they referred us to a host (the night before we left) on site who we didn't see or even know about. A receipt with a form was found on desk asking us to write down all credit card info for payment but we already paid on line with Booking.com. Again, when asked, no explanation given by management company to clear that up. Not asked to show passports and never got an answer when asked about that. Hard to get luggage out of car on the busy thoroughfare with no shoulder. Best not to arrive before dark as property is difficult to see from road. Bathroom is pretty tiny.

The parking is not for the faint hearted as it’s straight off the main road onto a platform above the houses

We arrived by car, and at first it was a bit tricky to find the parking spot and our way to the apartment from the main road, even though our host Daniel sent us detailed instructions with pictures in advance. Daniel met us at the apartment, helped to park our car (he has a couple of designated private parking spots on the side of a highway, and it is hard to park or get out due to heavy traffic). Daniel welcomed us with homemade rakia and dates from his garden, answered all our questions. The apartment is very spacious and has everything we needed - even a nice garden and table outside. The view from the window is gorgeous. Bus stop to the Old City and the ferry is very close. When we chose to walk, it took us 30 mins to Old Town and the same to the ferry, though be prepared to lots of stairs up and down. Daniel was extremely helpful answering our requests, he also arranged for a taxi to the airport (driver Nino, Daniel's friend, was extremely nice).
