Der Aufenthalt bei Om‘s Familie war ein wunderschönes Abendteuer. Wir wurden von Om vom Bahnhof abgeholt und anschließend hat er uns Jaiselmer gezeigt. Danach sind wir in die Wüste zu seinem zu Hause und seiner Familie gefahren. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach aber wunderschön. Nicht zu vergleichen mit einem Wüstencamp. Seine Frau hat für uns Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen frisch gekocht. Wir durften sogar helfen die Ciabatti auszurollen. Das hat so Spaß gemacht. Wir haben auch immer frischen Chai bekommen und Wasser. Für unser Wohl wurde umfangreich gesorgt. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie ein Teil seiner Familie. Om hat außerdem Ziegen und Hunde. In der Wüste gibt es auch Kühe und wilde Kamele zu sehen. Wir durften dann sogar unter dem Sternenhimmel schlafen. Es war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Om hat uns dann wieder zum Bahnhof gefahren. Der Aufenthalt bei Om und seiner Familie war das Highlight der ganzen Reise. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen !

Mala Ki Dhani holds a very special place in my heart. This is not a touristic getaway, it is a genuine homestay with a wonderful family who welcome you wholeheartedly into their lives. We had specifically been searching for a desert stay that wasn't one of the large glamping camps filled with bright lights and crowds of tourists. Mala Ki Dhani offered exactly what we were hoping for: an authentic experience that provided genuine insight into daily life in this part of India. Life here is simple and reflects the realities of living in the desert. Don't expect electricity or modern amenities. Instead, come with an open mind and a willingness to experience a different way of life, enjoy the sweet animals they have on site, and spend time w/the children. We visited in june, which was hot, but Om will make sure you are comfortable, have a place to store your things safely and sleep comfortably (even under the stars when the weather allows), can freshen up, and have food, chai, and cold drinking water available. We also did a super lovely camel safari - we were the only people there, we drank chai in the sand dunes, and they let us have a super cute and romantic sunset experience with just us. The family makes the most of what they have, and their generosity is remarkable. What made our stay truly unforgettable was the connection we formed with the family. We played football and cricket together, shared meals, and were even gifted saris to wear. Within a very short time, we felt less like guests and more like friends and even family. staying here is a meaningful way to directly support this family and their way of life. The warmth, kindness, and positivity of Om and his family are extraordinary. Their ability to find joy in everyday life is inspiring, and spending time with them gave us a renewed appreciation for many of the things we often take for granted. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family.

Exceptional stay.. it will give real Village experience of Jaisalmer. The host is very courteous and friendly. Gives personal attention to each family staying here. Basic amenities with great host . Worth every penny you spend..

Everything was perfect. The facilities are basic, but that’s what brings you close to nature. Stargazing here is absolutely amazing—truly the best. Our daughter had the ultimate fun playing with Om Ji’s kids, which made the stay even more special for us. The food was amazing, delicious homemade meals, and the beds were so comfortable that we had the best sleep. This was the highlight of our Jaisalmer road trip.
