About this apartment rental
This is a new third (top) floor apartment offering spectacular views of the Bay of Kastela, Marina Kastela, the island of Brac, the city of Split, town of Trogir and Mali Kozjak mountain.
The apartment is 120 sq m with 3 spacious bedrooms, open kitchen, dining and living room, and 1 1/2 baths. Two balconies provide additional 28 sq m living space. The apartment can accommodate 6 to 8 people with three bedrooms (1 king size bed, 1 queen size bed, 2 twin beds) and a couch which pulls out to sleep one adult or 2 children.
An outdoor summer kitchen features a woodburning fireplace, propane two burner stove, sink and running water (solar heated), large dining table and half bathroom.
Kastel Gomilica is midway between Split and Trogir, about a 20 minute drive from the airport. Public transport is a 5 minute walk and a 15 to 20 minute walk will bring you to the marina, beach, restaurants and grocery store, etc. Many activities and excursions are available nearby. Visit the many historical sites--Kastela, Klis, Trogir, Diocletian Palace. Take a boat tour of the islands. Enjoy an excursion to Krka National Park. Sunbathe and swim at one of the many public beaches in the area or lounge by the home's private pool. Be sure to bring water shoes as most beaches in the area are rock rather than fine sand.
Villa Kata is an excellent home base from which to explore the rich history and beautiful varied landscapes of Croatia and will be a quiet space to relax and unwind.

The apartment has been done to an exceptionally high standard and was very spacious and comfortable. It was a shame the main bedroom did not have an ensuite bathroom but this was a very minor point in the scheme of things. The pool was a good size and the views from the front balcony were spectacular. Both the mountains behind and the beach are within walking distance and within 10 mins walk up the hill you can see views from Split to Trogir, Solta and beyond. The host was very friendly and accommodating and we were made to feel very welcome. It is quite oddly situated with a mixture of residential and industrial properties but this did not really detract from the overall experience which was overwhelmingly positive.

The location is perfect for ease of access to Split, nearby Trogir and the small towns and castles along the coast. Beaches are a short drive away and a car is recommended during your stay.
The apartment we had was on the third floor and features a panoramic balcony with extensive sea and mountain views. Whether it be the morning or evening the view is simply stunning and a real bonus. The apartment has been tastefully decorated and features modern furniture and an array of appliances. The kitchen and bathrooms are contemporary in design and add a luxurious feel to the apartment. The accommodation features a central air conditioning unit in the living space.
The apartment has a wonderful pool and outdoor barbecue area which we used regularly. All areas are excellently looked after by the owners and the neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant.
The owners Marco and Sandy are the perfect hosts and looked after our needs impeccably. They were on hand to advise us of the best places to visit and the best restaurants. Overall it was a wonderful place and we will be back again. We would highly recommend the accommodation.
