A stunning little studio apartment. Just perfect for us with no stairs and so close to all the shops and restaurants. Great shower, very comfortable bed, very well stocked kitchen with everything we could possibly need.

cosy studio with everything you need in great location

Really enjoyed our stay. The studio had everything we needed. The main room had a comfy bed and enough space to put up the fold away table. The kitchen has induction hobs, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. The bathroom was spotless. Mark and Aby were very accomodating and friendly. It's in a beautiful spot, a minutes walk to the cafes, restaurants, pubs, etc. Would definitely stay again.

High quality of decor, fixtures and fittings. Lovely. Cleanliness is vitally important to us and it was excellent. Very friendly owners and Aby gave us an excellent introduction as to how everything worked, which was extremely helpful Very handy location for using as a base. No real view which doesn't matter as it is quiet and there are lovely walks all around. Also near shops and resturants

We can't think of anything. If we had to comment the building next door is in need of repair but this had no bearing on the apartment as it is first class and we had a great stay.

Exceptional

This cosy little studio is the perfect spot. It's well kitted out with everything you need, including great WiFi... a must for getting on with business. Great shower, water pressure and instantly hot water were great. And the heating kept the whole studio toasty in the autumnal days and evenings. Perfectly located for walks, the ferry, coffee shops and restaurants. Everything is on your doorstep. Mark and Aby are great hosts, checking that I had everything I needed during my stay.

Nothing that I didn't like it, but noticed there was no oven in the kitchen. There is an induction hob, toaster and microwave if you're cooking whilst you're there. And, you're so close to great food places so it's a teeny observation (only because I'd brought food to cook and not realised before coming).

Greeted on arrival by Mark & Aby who were lovely hosts. Great presentation of studio and Aby explained everything to us. Well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, very comfortable. Lovely view of the harbour.

Good location as a base to visit Kintyre.

Convenient location in the town. Very compact accomodation but had everything in it.

Uncomfortable bed. Noisy outside with traffic and lorries parked outside. Difficult to find eating places in the evenings as a lot of restaurants were closed and the others fully booked.

Fabulous little apartment!

Ideal size and so well thought out. Particularly loved the artist designed frame for the bed and wardrobe. So quirky and different. Kitchen is really well equipped including my favourite coffee maker! Terrific shower and although the apartment is small it still manages to feel spacious because everything has been cleverly designed. Spotlessly clean too. Would very happily stay here again.

Great place to stay in Tarbert especially if you like privacy

The facilities were great and everything we needed was provided within the apartment for a self-catering stay, but we’re assured that anything extra could be asked for from Struan House B&B (right next door) which is run by the same couple. We met Aby when staying here, who was extremely friendly and helpful. We managed to park near enough outside the property which is very handy for transferring luggage etc. Property was also very clean and in a good condition. As a couple who like privacy, we chose to stay here for this reason and were pleasantly surprised that despite being on the Main Street the apartment felt private enough. The windows have blinds which can be adjusted, there is an internal glass door with frosted panel and curtains can be drawn over to cover both window and door if needed. The shower is electric which means hot water doesn’t run out, a big plus for someone who likes long showers! Pressure is also very good, which is a common problem with hotels and apartments from experience.

The biggest dislike we had about the apartment was the bed, as it simply isn’t comfortable. The mattress is thin (as it’s designed to be folded up against the wall) and it’s also very hard which doesn’t make for a comfortable sleep. I have definitely slept on much more comfortable thin mattresses, and considering most of your time spent in the apartment is likely to be sleeping we feel this is an important point. The only other (minor) issue we had was the shower head not being able to be set high enough. Thankfully we are both short enough, but if you were 6ft tall (or maybe below) it would be below your head. The head was also not very well placed, making it more difficult to wash and rinse than it should be.
