About this cottage rental
Tastefully decorated four-bedroom waterfront cottage in the Kawarthas, 15 minutes North of Lindsay, 15 minutes South of Bobcaygeon, and about 1-1/2 hrs. from East-end Toronto;
Private, heavily treed & situated high above the lake with a spectacular view, on the South shore of Sturgeon Lake - on the Trent/Severn system;
Beautiful sunsets and 130+ feet of clean, clear waterfront - excellent for swimming, including deep water for adults and a shallow, wade-in area suitable for small children
Three bedrooms have queen size beds and one has a double.

Large fully-equipped kitchen, complete with full size fridge, stove and dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans and utensils

Excellent swimming - deep water off the dock for jumping (NO DIVING) and shallow, wade-in entry at other end
Excellent fishing -- right off the dock or fish off the complementary paddle boat
NOTE: Lot is steep on the lake side -- there are approximately 75 steps down to the water and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
*Linens (e.g. sheets for the beds and personal towels) are not included in the rental cost but can be provided at a nominal charge. $120 for sheets for all beds; $150 to include sheets and a supply of personal towels, hand towels, bath mat, etc.

A well-maintained, beautiful property right above Sturgeon Lake. Thoughtfully appointed kitchen and living room, just add friends and family for a great getaway together. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning!

Our family recently stayed at the cottage and enjoyed the beautiful views and cozy, functional spaces. The amenities, including a dishwasher and air conditioning, were also a great plus.However, we did have a few safety concerns during our stay. The swimming area was very weedy and rocky, making it difficult for our two young children (ages 6 and 7) to use. Additionally, we found a significant amount of broken glass near the front of the cottage, which was a worry for the kids. There was also a broken window on the door that was taped up and could be a potential hazard.Overall, we had a good time, but hope these issues can be addressed to make the cottage a safer and more enjoyable place for families with young children.
