About this house rental
Sunset Ridge is a wonderful place for a Church Camp or Retreat, Family Reunion, Corporate get away, or Youth Retreat. A beautiful, fun wooded location on 5 plus acres with a pool, hot tub, and access to the owners private 13 acre lake. We have a large meeting room, great for praise and worship or meetings.
Wonderful outdoor recreation opportunities, just 2 miles from the entrance to Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management area, a great place to hike, cave or rock climb. Rock town is a popular bouldering location and Petijohns cave is a fun adventure.

Chuck and Melissa are extremely accommodating and helpful. We've stayed multiple times at Sunset Ridge and any time we've needed anything they respond quickly and address whatever is needed. The house is always clean when we arrive and well stocked with clean linens and towels. The grounds and surrounding area are well kept and quiet.

Sunset Ridge is perfect for a teen or youth retreat. The cooks in our group really loved the kitchen. We had 17 in our group and we stayed 2 nights. There was plenty of space for all the activities we planned. Being geared toward youth, the bedrooms have the "camp" feel including camp-type mattresses. We didn't spend much time outside so we didn't explore everything but the kids found the basketball court and played out there a while. The kids loved the ping pong and the mile-long couch was great for watching TV.

The host was great! We made great memories there. The opportunities for adventure were also good. We felt the property description wasn't as accurate as it needed to be for us, yet we came in December so weather made a difference & leaves covering everything. The house, playground & most of the contents were very dated. Front steps appeared not safe, uneven & no rail. Heated pool was optional, but not listed as an additional cost. There were fire ants in the Hot Tub, so limited use & the children had bites. The fireplace wasn't working when we arrived. My son fixed it.For me it's hard to give ratings or reviews. The good outweighed unmet expectations & their were many opinions involved.
