Holiday Home Povlja With Sea View I

Die Unterkunft war ein Traum . Das Haus ist großzügig aufgeteilt , hat sogar 2 Toiletten und seit diesem Jahr auch eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Auch das anscheinende Energie Problem ist gelöst was davor für Kritik gesorgt hat . Es gibt 24 Stunden rund um die Uhr Strom .Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt und ich möchte mich hiermit nochmals für alle Extras beim Besitzer Milan bedanken. Es gibt sowohl vor dem Haus eine Sitzgelegenheit als auch hinter dem Haus , von wo aus man eine traumhafte Aussicht aufs Meer hat . Ein riesengroßes Grundstück ( ca 10 000qm ) umgibt das Haus . Auf dem Grundstück steht noch ein weiteres Haus , welches mittlerweile von sehr liebenswerten Familienangehörigen des Besitzers bewohnt wird . Mein Hund wurde sehr freundlich aufgenommen und hatte natürlich unendlich viel Spaß auf dem riesigen Grundstück ( nur ein Eingangstor existiert noch nicht ) .Der Weg zu der kleinen sogenannten „ Privatbucht „ ist ein klein wenig mit Wandergeschick zu bewältigen ( eher ungeeignet für Menschen mit Gehbehinderungen ) . Die Bucht selbst mit ihrem glasklaren Wasser ist ein Traum . In den knapp 2 Wochen kamen nur einmal eine kleine Wandergruppe vorbei um kurz zu schwimmen, ansonsten waren wir alleine dort . Im nahegelegenen Ort , welchen man locker fussläufig erreichen kann gibt es noch andere wunderschöne Strände , welche zum Teil sogar mit Außendusche ausgestattet sind .

An der Unterkunft gibt es absolut nichts auszusetzen , sie war ein Traum . Lediglich für den Strandabschnitt welcher sich unterhalb des Hauses befindet hätte ich die Anmerkung das doch bitte jeder welcher diesen Platz aufsucht auch seinen Müll von dort wieder zurück nimmt denn das ist dort ein ernstzunehmendes Problem. Sicher wird in den kleinen Buchten viel angeschwemmt ( was auch hier der Fall ist ) , aber es ist auch ganz deutlich zu erkennen das hier viel von den Urlaubern entsorgt wird was sie wohl nach Urlaubsende nicht mehr mit nachhause nehmen wollen ! 3 identisch gleiche kaputte Luftmatratzen sagen mir da ALLES !! Sehr schön wäre es wenn jeder bei seinen Besuchen dort auch das ein oder andere Müllteil , welches nicht von ihm persönlich ist mit nach oben nimmt und in den unzähligen bereit gestellten Containern im Ort entsorgt !!! Wir haben das auch gemacht und der Strandabschnitt im vorderen Bereich war nach 12 Tagen sauber 💪🏼🤗.

The house was in a lovely location as a part of a huge private estate surrounded by a stone wall. It is about 700m from the village, 900m from the port where all the shops and restaurants are situated. The "private" bay with a small beach is around 300m from the house. The entry to this beach is via the estate or the sea, therefore most of the time we were the only ones there. Though from time to time a boat/yacht dropped anchor in "our" bay, people from the boat did not come to the shore. The house was clean with all the necessities you would need for a holiday stay. Ideal for up to 4 people, although 5 are still manageable, especially if you have a spare sleeping mattress. The owner (Milan) was very friendly and forthcoming.

There was sea trash at "our" beach brought by the winds, but the privacy was for us more important, therefore we preferred our beach, despite the fact that there were other (cleaner) beaches in the village with very convenient parking should you prefer to move around with your car. The house would manage a few small improvements/repairs, but we told Milan about them, so I am sure it would be done by the time the next visitors arrive :-)

Great location - sufficiently outside of the village to have complete peace and quiet (closest neighbouring house 200m away) and still within walking distance (10 minutes) of shop, restaurant and beach (within 5 minutes walk from the house is small secluded beach where you can be alone, as the road to village is long and almost no one comes there). Usage of renewable energy in the house is a plus for those who care about the environment.

Be aware that house is supplied by solar power. This did not bother us, but it means no electricity between 22:00 and 7:00 (also applies to fridge!). There is an emergency diesel power generator available but it is very nosiy and we did not use it at all during our week stay. Hot water is also powered by solar power but was plentiful (more than sufficient for 5 people showering.. of which 4 are women who enjoy longer showers) and very hot. Bring mosquito repellent.

Great location. The view is amazing. The house itself is slightly isolated from the village so you can enjoy the ambiance and sounds of the sea. Overall the house has all the amenities for cooking, going to beach and having bbq. The host is a friendly guy who shared some stories about his life and cooked us a delicious dinner. He also welcomed us with local drink and fruits. The area of the house is quite big, you can have outdoor activities there.

The house uses solar power for producing electricity. The battery is enough only for 4-5 hours after sunset. Consider the fact that you don’t have the electricity after 10 pm and it’s not stated anywhere. The house does not have air conditioning, only one fan. It’s hot during the midday and during the night. You have to leave windows open because the fan isn’t working without electricity. If you can’t stand the heat, it may be tough to enjoy your sleep. There is a power generator available but it will be quite noisy.
