Steps away from the beach, with extraordinary ocean views, On the Rocks at Haystack is the best home away from home in the heart of Cannon Beach. With Haystack Rock marine and nature preserve and The Needles, ranked in the top 100 must see places by National Geographic, just outside the window, our home’s stunning backdrop marries perfectly with its beautiful, modern interior.
All rooms face the ocean for spectacular daytime and sunset views. The gourmet kitchen features new top of the line appliances including a 6 burner professional grade stove and griddle plus a pantry with the basics and complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There's even a separate two drawer under counter refrigerator for all your cold beverage needs.
Private and social areas are thoughtfully placed throughout the home so up to 8 guests can enjoy each others company or spend time on their own. The fireplace, library, tv's, and games complete the warm and inviting living spaces.
All four bedrooms are private sanctuaries with comfortable beds that will sleep 8 and the four full spa-like bathrooms include complimentary toiletries.
Two outdoor decks offer the best in indoor/outdoor living and the perfect place to watch the constantly changing ocean, beach goers and bald eagles in their search for puffins on The Rock. The lower deck features a 4 person hot tub, sofa, chairs and firepit and the upper deck is complete with comfy chairs and a fire pit. There are also beach towels and four adult size bicycles available for your use.
Located on a quiet, oceanfront street with two of the 44 public beach access points, it's a five minute walk to Haystack Rock and 8 minute walk to the nearest restaurants. Whether you want to explore the tide pools, take a walk or bike ride on the beach, stroll along the shops and galleries or do a coastline hike at nearby Ecola Park, On the Rocks is the perfect place to stay and explore all the area has to offer. Please note that our home is located on the downhill side of Haystack Hill, about 50 feet above the shore and Haystack Rock, with steps and a short steep driveway down from the street to the front door and main level. Sorry, no pets.

The house is beautifully appointed and well-equipped. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the bathrooms were incredibly spacious. The view overlooking Haystack Rock and the "Needles," was spectacular. The ONLY issue we had was with the refrigerator, the doors of which somehow seemed "askew," such that the freezer door wouldn't stay securely closed. We contacted your local assistance line immediately, and someone promptly came and examined the freezer door. He removed the metal insert altogether and placed it in the garage, indicating that he would contact you and let you know of the problem. As a result, we heard a very faint "ping" throughout our stay, which appeared to be from the refrigerator. However, we were able to close both the upper and freezer doors sufficiently that none of the food was adversely impacted. Also, if you host "seniors" in the future, we might suggest installing grab bars in the showers for added safety. As it was, the bathrooms were safe, clean and well-stocked. We had a lovely time, and truly appreciate staying in your beautiful home.

This is our second time at our hands down favorite VRBO anywhere! This home is amazing, well appointed, and beautiful and those views are unbeatable! You have a view from every room! The location is incredible and walkable to beach and downtown. We will be back!

Our stay at this stunning beach home was exceptional!!! Every detail from this beautifully appointed house reflect true luxury. Exquisite ocean views from nearly every room, plush bedding, spa-like bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, firewood for beach fire, kites to fly, bikes to ride, easy access to the beach and town in addition to the best views in Cannon Beach. A true five-star experience from start to finish.
