About this chalet rental

This holiday rental with a swimming pool for 4 people is located in Cavaillon (Vaucluse department) with a magnificent view of the Luberon mountain range. This cottage is located in a residential area, in the Vidauque domain, on the heights of Cavaillon.

The rental is part of a main residence with its own private entrance, without overlooking neighbours.

The property is located at the end of a private path.

You will be amazed by the view that awaits you.

It is a quiet and central place to visit Provence!

The first supermarket is approximately 2 km away and the city centre of Cavaillon is 4 km away.



Cavaillon is at the heart of the most beautiful sites in Provence, between Avignon, the Luberon, the Alpilles and Mont-Ventoux. The history and heritage of this town, still quite unknown, are worth a detour!

A discovery trail of the old town centre and the hill is offered to you, meeting one of the most beautiful synagogues in Europe (18th century) and the Jewish-Comtadin museum, the Cathedral and its 12th-century cloister, the Grand-Couvent Chapel, the Hôtel-Dieu museum, the Roman Arch, the hermitage and Saint-Jacques Chapel.

During your holiday in Cavaillon, you can walk and relax a few steps from the town centre, in the fragrant garrigue of Saint-Jacques Hill, then enjoy the conviviality of pedestrian streets and shaded squares.

The day of its Provençal market is Monday.



For the more sporty, you can notably enjoy the Via Ferrata of Cavaillon, the Samane Golf, canoe trips on the Sorgue, and many others (fishing, parachute, paragliding, hot air balloon rides, hiking).

Many picturesque villages are also nearby: Gordes (14 km), Bonnieux (25 km), Ménèrbes (20 km).

Many activities are offered in the region, depending on the season: jazz festivals, Avignon festival, ...

The nearest large cities are Avignon (35 km), L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (10 km) and Apt (30 km).

EXTERIOR

The cottage is adjoining the owners' house on one side. It has a private terrace with a table and 4 chairs, which opens onto a very beautiful view of the Luberon.

On the lower part of the property:

A relaxation area with 4 sun loungers, a shaded terrace of 20 m² and 1 garden furniture, available during the day.

A swimming pool to be shared with the owners (4m x 8m, depth of 1.50 m with access step, alarm-type security system, in service from May 1st to end of September).

INTERIOR

The cottage has 2 rooms (not partitioned). It has an area of 25 m². It is carefully decorated in a traditional style. It has



Main living area with air conditioning (20 m²) with:

A fitted kitchen area (fridge, microwave, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, ceramic hob, washing machine).

Dining space with a table for 4 people)

Lounge area with a two-seater sofa bed, TV with DTT channels.



1 bedroom (8 m²) with a double bed 140 cm. The bedroom does not have a door. A nice curtain separates the bedroom from the living room



A bathroom (1 sink, a shower and 1 toilet)



Maximum occupancy: 2/4 people - Deposit: €300.

The displayed price is for 2 people.

For the 3rd and 4th person, a supplement of €45/person/week is requested.

End of stay cleaning mandatory: €45

Household linen for rental: €15/person (bed sets, towels, tablecloths, tea towels)

Swimming pool towels must be brought.

Tourist tax according to current rates

Pets accepted UPON REQUEST with supplement: €35/animal/week

Heating is not included in very low season: a flat rate of €35/week is requested.

This is a small one bedroomed apartment which has been furnished with great care and attention to detail. The view from the balcony and especially from the pool is superlative. The sofa bed in the living area is very comfortable but using it leaves little room. The pool is beautiful with a fantastic view,, well cared for with shade available.

Nice apartment in lovely setting
It's compact but well appointed, clean and comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful; you'll need your French as she speaks no English at all. However the managing agent does speak pretty good English. The only significant problem was with the WiFi, which simply didn't work in the apartment. The router was in the main house at the other end, and the signal doesn't reach the apartment. The owner helped by providing a cable-based booster which enabled the laptop to connect, but to get a WiFi signal you had to walk round to the front of the owner's house. As the weather was often unpleasantly cold, wet & windy, this wasn't much fun. The pool was sparkling clean. The place is well situated in a quiet residential area on the edge of the Luberon hills, but only 5 minutes away from a Lidl, an organic supermarket and a boulangerie, and about 8 from an Intermarche hypermarket, so you are fantastically well provided-for. It's only about 6 or 7 minutes from the autoroute junction as well, so well connected, but it's also very peaceful and quiet. It's fine for two people, though would be rather cosy for four. But the bed and the sofa bed are both good quality and comfortable. Overall, apart from the WiFi issue, which really shouldn't be difficult to fix, a nice place to stay, and recommended.

Die Lage am Pool ist außerordentlich schön. Man hat einen weiten Blick in die Ausläufe des Luberon. Das Schwimmbecken ist ca. 8 m lang und für eine Abkühlung geeignet. Die Gastgeber wohnen nebenan und sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Apartment verfügt über eine kleine Küche mit ausreichender Ausstattung. Nur das Bett ist für größere Personen leider etwas kurz. Nicht weit entfernt gibt es gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Von Cavaillon aus kann man alle interessanten Ziele in der Provence gut erreichen.
